I had a lot on my mind, especially after the talk Christian and I had last night, but I decided to push all that drama into the back of my mind and enjoy the day ahead. Audrey and Elliot decided to take a small break from planning their dream wedding and is throwing a pool party/barbeque, which of course...I was excited for. Good food, drinks, and quality time with my girls? I couldn't ask for a better distraction.

"Hey Mom? Can I talk to you?" Kynlee asked, walking into my room.

"Of course. What's going on?" I asked, packing up my bag.

"Okay so...please don't freak out when I ask this question, but...how did you know that you were ready to have sex? Like...really ready?" I stopped what I was doing, turning to face her, as she stood there nervously shifting her weight from one foot to the other.

"Well baby girl...I was in love and in the moment...things seemed right, but you really won't know for sure until you try it out. Not saying you should, but that's the only way you'll know for sure if you're ready or not." She nodded her head slowly, looking as if she didn't fully understand what I was saying. "Are you planning on having sex?"

"Huh? No! No, nothing like that. I'm just curious, that's all." She said.

"Listen Kyn...as much as I want to lecture you about waiting until you're married, I can't do that because then I'd be a hypocrite. But what I can say is at least be one hundred percent sure that you're ready for that, because once you lose your virginity...you can't get it back."

"I know, but...last night with Sam was just so perfect and I feel as if I missed out on the opportunity. Don't get me wrong, he was very understanding about me wanting to wait, but Mom...I really like him."

"I know you do and I can tell he really likes you too, which is why I'm not surprised that he was so understanding about waiting." I told her.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She murmured. "I just don't want him to get bored of me though, especially since I'm not giving up my goods."

"I understand where you're coming from, but I doubt he'll ever get bored of you. You're smart, beautiful, funny...and the list goes on and on."

"Well yeah, you have to say these things because you're my mother, but who knows what's going on in his head."

"True, but I mean every word I say. Now, no more doubting yourself or Sam, and let's enjoy get ready to head over to your auntie's house." I said. She smiled and nodded, embracing me in a tight hug.

"Thanks Mom. Also, you're not mad at me for having Christian come check on you last night, are you?" She asked.

"Not at all baby. We had a really nice chat and he even made me some dinner, before I kicked his ass out." She covered her mouth and laughed.
