Kyron
"I'm so nervous." Kynlee spoke, as we climbed out of the car. We were at Christian's job, surprising him with lunch, and a little surpise that we spent all last night working on together. Though things were still somewhat tense between us, this gift that we made together seemed to have made things a lot better between us.
"Don't be. I'm sure he'll love it." I assured her. "Besides...grandma said that he admitted to being upset about missing out on us growing up, so this is the perfect gift for him." I'm not sure why she got nervous every time we hung around Christian, but I was happy that the walls she had up were finally starting to crumble down.
"Hi, how may I help you?" A cute, blonde woman smiled at us, as soon as we stepped off of the elevator. Now that I think about it...there were a bunch of cute, blonde women working here.
"Hi, we're here to see Christian." Kynlee spoke.
"Okay, do you have an appointment?"
"No, but he's our dad and he told us we could stop by and see him anytime." I chimed in. She opened her mouth to speak, but stopped when Christian came walking around the corner with his wife or should I say...soon to be ex-wife.
"Kynlee? Kyron? What are you both doing here?" He asked, obviously shocked to see us.
"We came to invite you out to lunch and give you this gift that we made for you." Kynlee answered.
"We already have lunch plans, I'm afraid." Ana said, holding on to his arm. "Besides...I thought you were going to handle this little problem." She motioned her head towards us, giving Christian a pointed look.
"Ana...now isn't the time."
"Handle...what little problem?" I questioned.
"We should talk in my office. Ana, let's postpone lunch." He said, giving her a pleading look. Okay, what the hell was going on?
"Why? This shouldn't take long at all."
"Um...are we missing something here?" Kynlee asked.
"Please...let's talk in my office." He turned and walked away, while Kynlee and I gave each other uneasy glances.
"I thought they were divorcing, why is she even here?"
"The hell if I know." I murmured, as we followed them down the hallway. I looked around, admiring the company that I planned on interning for once I graduated, and I couldn't wait to work alongside Christian. He was a business genius and what made it even better was that this infamous business genius was my dad.
"Ana, if you don't mind, I'd like to speak with them alone." Christian said, stopping outside of his office door.
"I do mind, actually. You're not getting out of this." She said, glaring at him.
