TOKYO

Chloé had always loved galas.

She remembers a time when her father used to host them. Flocks of people from all over France would scramble to capture a ticket.

Chloé adored being the centre of attention.

Her father would always try his best to ensure that Chloé had an incredible time, which she did.

As a young girl she had revered the fancy dresses, the expensive company and dancing around the room as though the music only played for her.

Drawing eyes from every direction, she loved witnessing the emotions flickering on their faces as they watched her, admiration and envy were the most common responses she would see.

Unsurprisingly the latter made her happier.

But that was then.

And this is now.

The soft click of her heels accompanies the tinkling laughter of the party goers. Their idle chatter has no current place in Chloé's mind, due to this she pays no particular attention to any of them.

With a twirl she swipes a glass of champagne off of one of the waiters. She delicately brings it to her lips and takes a sip letting the sharp liquid run down her throat.

Chloé could never quite stomach alcohol. In all honesty she struggled wrap her head around how Marinette could down bottle after bottle, but she supposes that it must lose its foul taste after a while.

Whenever she would question Marinette about her destructive habits, said woman would give her a vague answer before sending her off with a flick of her wrist.

At the thought of Marinette Chloé sighs dejectedly.

She misses her best friend dearly. Three months is too long for her to be away. Not only has she had to take charge of the remaining Court members. Now when she wakes up in the middle of the night due to a nightmare she can't just go and spoon Marinette.

Her only options have been to either use a pillow or seek out Alya. The latter she rarely does anymore after witnessing horrors that she has been unable to remove from her brain.

Alya and Nino need to learn how to use locks.

Her yellow silk dress flutters around her ankles causing small ripples to cascade down the soft fabric. A pair of conversing blondes catch her attention but before her eyes can linger, her curiosity finds another home rather quickly when her targets appear in her line of sight.

As entertaining and thrilling as it would be to crash into Ravenhold guns blazing, they needed to obtain a mode of transportation that displayed a more subtle approach. Hence their attendance at the gala tonight and interest in two pilots.

Absentmindedly she untucks the hair behind her ear allowing the freshly dyed brown waves to cascade down her front. Despite Chloé missing her platinum blonde locks she must admit that the darker hair is useful for hiding the small bee tattoo that rests behind her ear. In addition, it conceals her identity better.

After speculation began to rise about Killer Bee's identity, Chloé Bourgeois was the number one suspect, and she wasn't exactly an unknown figure in society.

She then saunters over in their direction making sure to put an extra sway in her hips as she keeps her sculpted mask of indifference on her face. Something that she has had years to perfect.
