Two's better than one

Chapter 12 - our first official date

It had been a week since the boys asked me to be their boyfriend and to say the least we are still very much in our honeymoon faze of our new relationship. I had stayed over at Jace's for the first time Monday and met his parents. Jace unlike Orion didn't have younger siblings but older ones but they were all moved out by now. The first night I stayed over Jace's mother Nora had shown me a bunch of baby pictures of Jace much to his dismay. Today the boys had their first preseason game and after they said we were going on a date.

The boys were warming up when I walked in with Nora and Lena. They saw us and waved before continuing on. I luckily knew a lot about basketball since my father tried to make me play it for years and every moment he could he would force me to watch it. Not long after we showed up the game had started the first two quarters the boys had played hard and were barely winning but by the third they had a substantial lead. In the final quarter Jace had gotten fouled which left our crowd in uproar for the bad call. However Orion and the others carried on and pulled out a win with the final shot being an amazing half court from one of the grade 11 boys on the team. Jace and Orion came up to Lena, Nora and I before changing and tried to hug us. I luckily got them to go change first because they were all gross and stinky.

After the game it was finally our date. We all jumped in Jace's truck and headed to a diner a town over. The whole design of the diner was retro 1950s. The seats were all teal and white they had a jukebox on the one end of the diner and old tv with some old school movie on the screen. The waiters where even dressed in retro clothing.

"Kian what do you want to eat?" Orion asked. I quickly looked down at the menu for the first time since I was to busy looking around the diner.

"Can I have the chicken burger with fries and a milkshake?" I ask to which my boys just nod their head. While we waited for food the boys talked about their game and stuff they will have to work on. They seemed a little surprised when I butted in and gave them some advice but smiled and agreed. The food came and I stole a bite of Jace's steak and a bite of Orion's poutine. Through out eating we joked around and laughed. Everything's as amazing until two girls walked into the diner.

"Candie look at those guys." The one said in a rough whisper pointing to where Orion and Jace had sat across from me.

"Let's go over Ruthy!" The who I'm guessing is Candie says. They walk over and take a seat next to e as if I was invisible. "Heyyy. I'm Candie and the is Ruthy."

"Hi" Ruthy says.

"Well anyways we were wondering-"

"Excuse me can you leave my boy-." I say but just get ignored.

"As I was say we were wondering-"

"No." Both Jace and Orion say.

"What?" Both girls look surprised.

"Our answer is no. We are trying to enjoy a date with OUR BOYFRIEND which you clearly ignored when he tried explained we were on a date. Now run along please we have a date we wish to finish." Orion states.

"I'm sorry bunny." Jace says after the girls left. "We were gonna go watch the starts but if you want to leave we will."

"No let's not let them ruin our date." I replied. We finished up our food and went to pay and found out that the girls from earlier payed for us. We continued our night by watching the stars till I fell asleep and Jace drove us all home.

(A.N sorry if it seemed rushed I will come back to rewrite and add but I'm really busy with school. Also if y'all want I can write more on the basketball part but I didn't know if you would want that so I kinda skipped over it)
