Chapter five
"Hello, Sherlock? That's the whole point." I said in a 'duh' tone, waving my hands about as I glared out the window, looking at him was too much.
"What? To go and embarrass her in front of the whole school, bright idea, isn't it." He sneered, trying to prove his point.
When I first moved to England, there was this girl, not just any girl, that girl. Every time she had the chance she'd either embarrass or put me in a state of next level anger, and by that point I wanted to do her face in.
She was the reason no guys really took interest in me, besides Jonah. That's for another story. Wherever I was, whether it was with guys or not, she'd come up with these awful scenarios of me. Of course her little ratty mouth would spread it everywhere.
She went on and on about stuff that wasn't even true.
Eventually I had enough, gained some of her 'core' memories and said it aloud at lunch.
Tada.
"She deserved it," I mumbled quietly, clenching my jaw.
He sighed deeply, "Did she though?"
I scoffed, "Why are you now standing up for her, you don't even know half the shit she did to me. Making my life a living hell? No thanks, I'd do anything not to go back there. She was the reason that-"
"Okay!" Chase tightened his grip on the steering wheel, his knuckles going white at the pressure.
"Fucking rude." I laughed in disbelief, turning away from him. Before I knew it he had stopped the car completely, we were in a lonesome road so there was no sign of anybody. I think?
"Fuck did you say?" He turned to me, his jaw ever so slightly open.
Why is he making such a big deal of this?
"What's your problem?" I ask, staring up at him, mostly unfazed. He licked his lips, his eyes roaming over my seated body, making my eyes turn into slits as I became agitated.
"You're my problem." He snapped, eyeing me like a hawk. "Me?" I laugh, looking away.
"Yes, you." What a moody man.
"Oh lighten up sunshine, otherwise I'm walking home." I turned back, never less breaking eye contact as I shifted round in my seat.
"You're not fucking walking home, lily. I'm meant to be taking you somewhere." He stated with slight laughter. He has to be joking.
"Your kidding, right?" I ask, speaking before I could get an answer, "You said I'm your problem now your telling me you're taking me somewhere? Damn right I'm walking home." I turn to the car door, pushing down the lock before opening the car door.
"Lily, get back in the fucking car." He demanded, giving me a deathly stare. Christ.
"No, it's alright Chase. I'm a perfectly capable and independent women who can easily find her way home using google maps, so if you excuse me.." I paused, pulling out my phone, "I'll be on my way."
