6.800 words chapter as an apology for not posting in such a long time?🥺 Yes or no? Apology accepted?🥲

He feels the wind blowing in his hair, as the cold drywall scrapes at the fabric on his back. Feet neatly put side by side, a knee at an angle. His eyes scan each person passing by- none of them seem to notice. Like a ghost, a phantom no one pays attention to.

When his vision goes blurry. Everything looks the same, like nothing at all, while his ears get used to the wind blowing in and out. Thoughts screaming over each other, he cannot shut them up.

The smoke infects his face, making his eyes tear up. Vapor, like cancer, vapor that makes his heart wrench and lungs bleed.

Slowly, he leads the cigarette to his mouth, waiting a moment until he can take a drag off it. Breathe in, count to three, release it. A routine he's been practicing for years on end.

"Hey."

A familiar voice defeats the silence. He follows the sound with his eyes, meeting Robs.

"Thought I'd find you here."

His thin lips curl into a friendly smile, his slender body falls against the very drywall Jesse's been leaning against. Their shoulders rub against each other. Warmth against warmth.

Jesses hair smells like hairspray, a lot of it. He can smell the crunchiness off them, without even having the courage to touch. But he's so pretty when his hair is made, so handsome when he wears the gray suit Rob learned to love.

"What did you do yesterday, after you left?"

Rob feels a head falling onto his shoulder. Jesses curls tickle his exposed neck.

"Nothing."

Smoke forms around them. Rob has to hold his breath, not wanting to cough and eventually move. He wouldn't want Jesse to move either. They remain still.

"Are you up for a debate today?"

Robs dark voice hums in Jesses ears, and he loves the sound of it. He could listen to it for days, binge every podcast that features it. Another drag off the cigarette.

"Nope."

"Me neither."

The weights lifts off Robs shoulders, when their eyes melt into each other. A mere second of watching, shameless staring. Black pupil hitting black. Eating each other out, simply with looks. There's hunger hidden somewhere in them.

"I don't really feel like working today anywa-"

Jesse scooches closer, making their rising chests collide against each other, as his hands make their way to Robs hips. His throat ties the moment he feels the contact.

"Let's do something fun!"

"Like what?"

He can read Jesses excitement off his lips, while Rob remains skeptical. Jesses understanding of fun usually involves alcohol and bars, and he's not down for that today.

"Follow me."

Mysterious smile plastered on his face. Deja vu as he feels an arm hooking into his, running ahead. They've done that before, and it didn't end well. This time though it shall be better.

"You know Sigrid's gonna kill me if she finds out I ran away with you? She already hates my ass for being so unfocused the entire time."

He suddenly stops, causing Rob to bump against him.

A swift hand at his suit lapel. Pressure, tightening, and all of the sudden his face is so close to his.

He can smell the tobacco leaving Jesses nose as he breathes out.
