~August 1st~
The months seemed to flash right on by. It was time to leave my comfortable bedroom in Santa Monica and seek comfort in a hotel room in Anaheim. My sister's birthday wish was to go to VidCon. And I was taking her.
Packing up my black escalade with 2 suitcases, I grabbed Elizabeth and headed for the right side of the car. I strapped her in and I made sure the tickets where in my pocket. Climbing into the car, we sped off, onto the 5 freeway to Valley View.
It was about noon when I looked at the clock. I put in my iPhone and clicked on the JacksFilms and Tobuscus playlist for my sister. The traffic slowed to a stop. This is why I left early.
"I can be your fantasy, your Romeo."
That part of The Valentines Day Song always made me smile. I leaned my head back and right when I closed my eyes, his face appeared once more.
I shot them open and looked to see traffic was moving once more. I sped off and looked for signs. Signs. I loved those things. My phone went off, ruining the song.
"Yello?"
"Sadie. You and Elizabeth alright?"
"Yeah Mom. But I'm still driving can I call you back later?"
"Love you."
I hung up and the song came back on. Valley view! I swerved across three nearly empty lanes and pulled off Valley View. Now all we need is the sign for Anaheim.
*Anaheim*
Elizabeth was asleep when I turned around. I was looking around when I saw Disneyland on my right. Whoa. It was huge. I drove on, finding the crowded hotel and parking lot.
I pulled in, and little kids were running in front of my car. Idiots. Idiots everywhere. I was about to roll down my window and yell out, "hey! Twenty four year old here! Move it!" But people decided to become smart.
I climbed out, and rounded the car to grab Beth. She was not 55 pounds. That's a lie. I walked on the outside of the parking lot so people wouldn't hit me with their cars.
Walking in through the front of the hotel was ridiculous. There was a crowd and I instantly felt claustrophobic. Breathe Sadie. Breathe. I pushed through the crowd to see a poor man standing alone behind the booth.
"Sadie and Elizabeth Thompson?" He looked at the paper and handed me the key card.
"Room 223!" The poor man, Josh, had to tell over the crowd. I shoved through more, and I started climbing the stairs.
Three flights later I reached our room. Shoving the key card in the slot, I pushed the door open and headed toward the bed closest to the door. I 'threw' her on the bed and tucked a pillow under her head. I turned back and closed the door, locking both locks.
I slumped back toward the other bed and laid on it, turning my head toward the door outside. We got a good view of the Anaheim Convention Center and I thought about it. Hundreds of thousands of people are going to be in there.
I instantly started feeling claustrophobic, and I closed my eyes. Accepting sleep.
~Dreaming~
I was standing in the middle of a bright green field, and white daisies were surrounding me in a circle. A breeze picked up, kind of like the ones on the beach.
As soon as I thought of the beach, I was standing on mine, the sand prickling my toes. The wind picked up and I smelt something. Sunshine and a light spray of Axe. Sunshine was the strongest scent however. My heart was beating faster now, my mind racing. My breathing went faster and I looked up a bit, and I saw a tall shadowy figure.
I lifted my head fully and the tall figure transformed. It was beautiful. He smiled at me and reached for my hand. He winked at me and I felt the wind whip around my ankles.
I was in a white dress. I looked up at him again. I reached for his hand. He pulled me close and I looked into his hazel eyes. "Sadie..." I then fell into complete darkness. My mind made memories race through. Jagged rocks. Rough ocean waves. Broken surfboard. Blood surrounding the surfboard.
~Waking Up~
"Ah!" I sat straight up, my heart racing, my mind racing. I was dripping in a cold sweat and my cheeks were warm. I turned to see if Beth was still awake, and she wasn't there.
I panicked and almost screamed. What if someone took her?!
"Elizabeth?!"
She came walking from the bathroom with a towel in her wet hands.
"What's wrong sade?"
I got up and scooped her up in my arms. She hugged me close and sighed.
"I...I thou..thought someone took you."
She let me go and I sighed.
"Hey Sadie, I'm hungry."
"Lets go to In & Out."
Her eyes widened and she smiled bigly. Mom never allowed us to eat junk food and she was excited. We locked up the hotel room and I put my hair in a ponytail while riding down the elevator.
We climbed into the escalade and pulled out. While pulling out of the parking lot, Elizabeth said something funny.
"My birthday wish is to see Toby and maybe even meet him."
I turned and she smiled.
"Great wish honey
