Law's Pov

We had just finished supper but something was off. Usually, Doflamingo was sitting across the room drinking his evening wine however the man must have been busy since he had been missing most of the day. He didn't even bother showing up for the family supper which within itself was unheard of since it was an unspoken rule that everyone needed to be there. "Cora-san what's wrong with Doflamingo-ya? He's acting stranger than usual" My guardian was the only other person here but he brushed off the topic as he placed his book down.

"It's best not to ask about him Law. Did you finish your homework?" Cora-san seemed to have a short-term memory since he should have remembered that useless thing was already done. "I told you that was finished this morning. Should I book you an appointment at the Alzheimer's clinic?" That look on Cora-san's face suggested he was unimpressed but I choose to ignore it as I continued to run my scalpel down the belly of the frog I found earlier. Too bad that girl didn't stick around she would have been a lot more fun to cut into.

"Law I'm just a little forgetful that's all... Well, if you're done with your homework then why don't you go take a walk in the neighborhood? Maybe you can make a few friends" He was only looking out for my best interest but making friends wasn't something I was interested in. They couldn't do much for me so there wasn't much point in making any. "No, thanks everyone in this neighborhood is a moron" Cora-san was too nice, it would be his downfall one of these days. "How about I take you somewhere else then?"

"I'd rather not" There were better things I could be spending my time doing but the moment he stood up from his chair my eyebrows rose. "Perfect let's go" I knew fighting against him wasn't going to do much good though maybe he'd give up if I expressed my distaste for this idea. "Cora-san I said no" He had a tendency of ignoring me and this time didn't appear to be much different. "True but I don't care. You need to make more friends or else you'll be forever alone. Don't forget your coat"

"I really don't like you right now Cora-san" My frog was pretty much dissected so I did stand up and removed my gloves but of course the older male had to make a comment about my behavior. "Calm down my little one everything will be just fine" I was a teenager, not some little kid, he needed to stop referring to me as such. "Don't call me that" He was a kind person but I couldn't stand some of the things he liked to refer to me as. "Why can't I call you that?"

Explaining anything to Cora-san would only have me talking in circles so it was best to leave it alone. "Neither mind let's just go" All I had to do was walking around with Cora-san for a little bit then I would be free to return home. "Don't sound so miserable Law" Did he really have to say that? "Stop making me do terrible things then Cora-san"

"Going for a walk isn't terrible" Sure, he could say that but for me, he knew this wasn't how I wanted to spend my night. "Maybe for you, it's not" I had said it under my breath although Cora-san still managed to hear it. "Cheer up Law. I heard you made a friend today" There was only one person he could have been referring to but that thing was supposed to serve as my frog substitute. "No, that brat isn't my friend"

"Did you ever get her name?" Cora-san really did love to ask questions about my personal life. "No, and I don't care" If I wanted that brat's name, I would have found it out but the little amount of time I had spent with her was hell enough and I was glad the moment we parted. "Alright, I'll leave you alone. Let's head out!" He was much too positive about this outing; I'd be sure we didn't spend more than an hour away from the house. "I'm still not happy about this"

"Of course, you're not. I wouldn't expect anything less from you" Cora-san knew me well but I wish he would stop treating me like a child. "What's that supposed to mean?"
