Law's Pov

'Beep' 'Beep' 'Beep'

Her heartbeat was steady but the damage to her throat just made my stomach turn. The cut hadn't gone deep enough to affect the vocal cords though I still had to repair this first then see how her mental status was. "Who exactly is this girl-yoi?" I had almost completely blocked out the other doctor in the room but his question broke my concentration enough for my eyes to shift up. "She's (F/n)-ya" That was all Marco needed to know about the girl currently laying on the table. "What is your connection to this patient? You seem to care a little too much about her and you're taking your time stitching up the wound. It's almost like you're afraid to make a mistake"

"My connection with her is none of your concern Marco-ya" He was beginning to irritate me but since he was a gifted doctor, I still needed him in the room. "Watch yourself Law-yoi. Don't let this obsession cloud your judgment" I'm not sure how he made such a ridiculous assumption but that statement was incorrect. Maybe he viewed my caring nature as something else though with Marco I couldn't determine what was going on inside his head. "I do not have an obsession with (Y/n)-ya" My temper was only kept in check due to the fact the stitch work needed to be perfect. "Could have fooled me-yoi... Her pulse is dropping Law"

When I heard that my eyes looked back at the monitor but quickly finished the last stitch and tied it off. "I'm done these stitches. What's causing her pulse to drop?" There were no other injuries besides the one to her neck but maybe I had missed something. "You check the right; I'll check the left-yoi... Wait it's going back to normal-yoi. Law, she's awake" With the sleeping medication in her system she shouldn't have been awake yet. "What are yo- (Y/n)-ya. It's alright this should help with any pain you have. Relax and don't worry you're in good hands" That panic in her eyes wasn't good, the monitor had also started to rise ever so slightly.

"There we go (Y/n) that should help with the pain" I'd need to have maintenance look at our equipment to make sure it was working correctly but for now I could move the girl into a secure room with a little more scenery. "B-B-Behind y-y-u-you" She shouldn't have tried to speak though at her warning I turned to face whatever threat was there. "Smoker-ya what are you doing here?" He was the same officer that was looking into (Y/n)'s disappearance but that gun within his hand caused me some concern. "This is the last time I work anyway near you Law-yoi. You're always dragging me into your drama. I have to deal with my brothers and you're ten times worse than them when it comes to attracting bullshit like this-yoi"

"You really should have let her bleed out. It would have made my job much simpler" This wasn't the same male I had a conversation with, he was must colder, and from what Luffy had told me Smoker would never go against his views of justice. "You're not Smoker-ya, are you?" I knew the same thing had occurred with Donquixote but it would appear somehow, she had moved to inhabit Smoker instead. "Nope but don't worry I won't be in this body long anyway" My fellow doctor was clueless to what was going on currently but at least he had a power of his own. "What is he talking about Law-yoi?"

"It's complicated. Just protect the patient at all costs" (Y/n) wasn't in any condition to be moved recklessly though I couldn't just leave her in there to end up dead. "Can you handle him Marco-ya?" I didn't care if he could handle this or not but someone needed to move (Y/n) to a safer location. "Tsk. Child's play. You take the patient and go-yoi. Inform the others the hospital is going into lockdown-yoi" I could manage that and it would make the most sense to protect the others within the building. "Come on (Y/n)-ya"

Doflamingo's Pov

"Alright, Doffy we should be free to go. Your first court date is scheduled for next week and that ankle bracelet stays on until further notice" I hated wearing these but I knew it wouldn't be there forever. "What about my daughter?" She had been hurt earlier in the night though no one told me anything else about her condition. "Her status is currently unknown" Well, at least that sounded like she was still alive. "I want to see her"
