(You)
The next morning, you donned your one-sleeved white dress and walked into the kitchen, only to find an entire breakfast spread waiting for you on the table.
Stunned, you turned to look at Levi, who was standing off to the side, watching you with carefully concealed anticipation. "You made all this?" you asked, indicating the fresh assortment of eggs benedict, French toast, yogurt parfait, and aromatic tea.
Levi nodded, his eyes flicking to the corner. "I didn't know what you liked – or if you'd even want to eat. But I thought...just in case..." He shrugged. "I found a recipe book and followed that, so I hope it tastes alright."
"Well, it certainly looks amazing," you stated as you took your seat and reached for the first dish.
"Wait," Levi blurted, and you paused halfway to the French toast. "I should do that. Serve you, I mean."
You blinked, then smiled warmly as you retracted your hand. "Alright. I'd like a bit of everything, please."
He nodded and set to work, carefully transferring food to your plate. Your smile broadened at his diligence, unable to help thinking that his earnest efforts were adorable. He really was trying, just like he'd promised.
You were just about to ask him to join you when you sensed a presence at your doorstep.
"It looks like we have a surprise visitor," you stated as you rose from your chair, disappointed by the interruption. "I'm afraid breakfast will have to wait."
"Oh," Levi muttered, doing a good job of hiding his own disappointment, though you still saw hints of it in his eyes. "Should I –"
"Come along," you stated. "The food will keep until we return."
Despite the fact that she was interrupting your breakfast, you were rather delighted to receive a visit from your friend Kittu, the Goddess of Truth. When you saw her on your doorstep, you greeted her with a tight hug, which she returned in kind. "I was not expecting you today," you murmured.
"I came to offer my assistance," Kittu stated, pulling away from you and gesturing to the servant who was accompanying her. "This is Sveta, my Head of House. I thought I could loan her to you for a day, in order to train your new human servant – since you have no others."
"That is kind of you," you murmured, nodding your head to Sveta, who bowed in return. You had been winging it this whole time, so having an experienced servant to help Levi was a welcome development. "We were just about to take breakfast. Won't you join us?"
"That sounds lovely," Kittu replied. She looped her arm through yours, and together, you walked into the house. "We can spend time together while our servants get started on their training."
"But..." you started to say before second-guessing yourself. Although Kittu was a minor goddess like you, her ability to discern the truth of any situation made her important enough to be awarded human servants. She had centuries of experience with them, while you had none. Therefore, it was probably best to follow her lead – even if it meant you couldn't dine with Levi like you'd wanted to.
"Good idea," you chimed, forcing yourself to smile. Then, you looked over your shoulder and stated, "Sveta, I am entrusting Levi to your care. Levi, please learn from Sveta."
"Yes, Your Grace," Sveta uttered respectfully while Levi gave a small nod.

Levi watched Kusu walk away with Kittu, leaving him and the other servant alone.
Well, he at least hoped she enjoyed the breakfast.
