Weaving in and out of strangers until finally the roads empty. Cutting across the barren road and into a green park, where they're blessed with a moment of silence. Cars, and the sounds of engines all fade into the background, the world standing still momentarily as the sky opens up. Releasing a mist of white snow. Droplets lightly falling to the ground, kissing the grass and dying their green tips with white. Trees freezing over as the sun settles behind them. It was like something out of a fairy-tale. The moment felt like magic.
"Oh my- I love the snow!" Danielle beams, twirling around with her arms outstretched, attempting to catch a snowflake in her frosty palms. Trying to contain her excitement for the change of weather aware of how silly she might look right now. But she didn't care. Also, with the added combination of how woozy she still feels from her date, she was practically walking on sunshine. Turning around until her eyes land on her very stunning and very cold date, snowdrops falling onto her eyelashes, the wonderful patterns of snowflakes contrasting with the brunette's hair like the Snow Queen. Taking her hand into her own. "You look beautiful..."
Danielle brings her hands up to cup her cheeks, connecting with her cool skin, standing on her tiptoes to match the Italian's height in heels. The blonde adored when she wore heels, even if she had to reach for her lips. Bringing her face closer to hers, so their ice-like noses are inches away. Kissing her lips softly. Memorized by this moment in time. Snow beginning to fall heavily around their feet with the wind picking up - trees waving at them in the background.
"As much as I love kissing you... and seeing how adorable you are about the snow..." Stefania says between kisses, wrapping her arm around the blonde's waist, stealing her warmth for her own selfish reasons. "Could we please head towards the bar now?" Giggling slightly, knowing the blonde could probably stay here forever and never be fazed by the cold. But her hands were freezing and her feet felt like ice cubes in her heels. Danielle gently smiles, resting her head against her shoulder, exchanging body heat. Taking her hand in as they start to walk to their next destination. Soon for the moon to reappear and wave goodbye to the sun.
Bursting into warmth, the crowds of people heating the venue up with their busy bodies. Danielle leads the way to the bar, keeping a firm hold of the brunette's hand as she drags them through the bundles of people, protecting her from the already drunk individuals. Letting her take a seat on the bar stool, a hand dropping to the small of her back, drawing small circles while waiting for the bartender to tend on them. Scanning the various bottles of alcohol behind the glass cabinets.
Taking their cocktails across the floor to find an empty booth down one of the rows of seats. Sitting on the side closest to the wall, opposite from one another. Their index fingers barely touching as they rest their hands next to the glasses on the wooden table. The table was kind of sticky from the previous guests sitting here, probably some kind of spillage from a fizzy drink. Music playing at a generous volume, influencing groups of friends to the dancefloor. The two girls stay seated to begin with, allowing time for the alcohol to give them courage and confidence. Exchanging small talk along with laughs, smiles and flirtatious eyes. Most importantly, listening to each other and admiring the view.
During the fifth drink, haven chosen another cocktail, both women were starting to feel the alcohol working in their system. Their limbs loosely swaying to the sound of the music, doing the best dances they can while still remaining in the booth. Danielle stands up from the seats, ordering themselves another round of drinks while Stefania pulls out her phone in the meantime, checking her messages while she waits for her date to order at the bar.
"Could I get two sexes on the beach, please?" Danielle grins, feeling slightly giddy and warm inside. Tapping her fingers on the countertop waiting for the bartender. Bopping her leg up and down in time with the music as she sits on the stool.
"You certainly can-" A mysterious, deep voice coming from behind her appears out of nowhere, someone who definitely wasn't the bartender. He wonders over, placing a hand on her back, pulling out his wallet to pay for their drinks, strands of hair flopping over his hazel eyes.
"Zach? You don't have to do that..." Danielle states, wondering what he was doing here, watching his debit card hit the chip and pin screen then turning to face her exchanging a huge smile. His cheeks lighting up.
Stefania lifts her head up from her phone, watching the situation unfold from the booth, witnessing both of their interactions. Her stomach churning at the sight of his hand wondering down her back, resting only slightly above her ass. What was he doing here? She felt sick looking at the two of them, but more so him.
"You're welcome," Zach leans into the blonde, his lips hovering by her earlobe, "You look extraordinary by the way..." He eyes her up and down making it look as obvious as he can, while she shifts uncomfortably in the bar stool, whispering a small thank you in return. Backing away from the tall boy while grabbing the drinks from the bartender and turning round to return to her date.
Danielle returns to Stefania, her face stained a pale colour from their interaction. Sitting next to her in the booth now, so their legs are touching in a reassuring manner. Zach and his friend unexpectedly slip into their booth, opposite the girls; thinking it was an open-invitation to follow the blonde woman to her table.
"Stefania, hey," Zach greets, sipping from his beer while his friend snorts at the awkward tension, clearly not as drunk as the dark-haired man. "I didn't realise you and Danielle were friends?"
Just as Stefania was about to state their relations, he interrupts again, not letting the brunette speak. Laying his hand on top of the blonde's; his eyes drifting off into those ocean blues, tuning everybody else out. Forgetting about Stefania. Danielle freezes, unable to respond to his actions.
"So, Danielle..." He says with tunnel vision, licking his bottom lip. "How did the audition go?"
Stefania felt the fire behind her own eyes, burning into the back of his hand. Holding everything she has back, waiting for him and his friend to get the picture and get lost. Hoping she wouldn't have to make a scene in front of all these people. How did he know about her audition?
"Uh- it went well thanks," Danielle removes her hand, setting it underneath the table, reaching out to find her dates instead, interlinking their fingers. "I actually got the call not long ago, saying I got in..."
"That's amazing!" Zach beams almost spilling his drink over his friend. Beer plastered all over his breath. "I guess we'll be seeing more of each other then..." The unwanted tension enhancing. Zach and his friend stand up from the table, waving at both of the girls and offering a wink specifically to the blonde.
Once they were out of earshot, the blonde exhales loudly into the air. Sighing as she takes a few big sips from her drink. Numbing herself from the previous conversation.
"You told him about your audition?" Stefania growls, pulling her hand back and returning it to her lap in frustration and confusion. Anger and jealousy seething in her voice.
"Well- he texted me, and we weren't-" Danielle stutters, trying to find her words with the mixture of alcohol swishing around in her brain. Why couldn't she think of something to say? Why couldn't she form a sentence?
"Wait, so you're texting him now?" The brunette stands up, straightening out her dress with the palm of her sweaty hand, pushing herself past the blonde in a grudge. Tears threatening her eyes as she quickly sobers up from the situation.
"No-" Danielle stands up with a matched anger, fumbling over herself trying to grab her arm, "If you let me explain-"
Before the blonde could say anything else, the brunette runs into the bathroom with a swift pace, locking herself in one of the stalls.
Zach couldn't help himself but stare from the sidelines, pleased knowing this was his doing. Smirking next to his mates as he drowns out their conversations. Waiting to see what happens next with the two women...
