Awkward was the only way to describe their last two weeks in rehearsals before showcasing their production to the country. The brunette, the blonde, and the red-head had silently agreed that they would remain professional in the studios. Even though, she did share side-glances and eye rolls to both the women every now and then. However, she never spoke of that night at the party.
No one who attended that night did.
"I cannot believe rehearsals are finally over..." Stefania picks up her ballet shoes from the corner of the area; shuffling closer to her girlfriend who was next to her locker. "We'll be performing in front of an audience very soon... Are you nervous?" Slipping her feet into the comfortable souls. Feeling up the side of the wall until her body had straightened out, applying her warm coat next.
"A little bit, I guess. But, I am so proud of you..." Danielle grabs the heavy rucksack in her locker, setting it down on the floor for a brief second. Reaching her lovers hand and squeezing it reassuringly. "How about... letting me take you out tonight to celebrate?"
As the two of them are just about to exit the studio with their belongings, the blonde feels a light tug on her wrist. This time, it wasn't coming from her girlfriend. Whom of which, snaps her head round to see a certain somebody.
Sarah stands uncomfortably behind the two of them. Red strands cover her dull eyes as she appears anxiously down at her feet; feeling embarrassed. "I am sorry!" She blurts, confessing her apologies, tugging on the sleeve of her shirt. "I was going through some shit... and I really should not have taken it out of the two of you..." Shifting a few times on her toes, glancing back and forth at the two ladies with her glassy eyes. "I guess you could say that I was jealous..."
"Uhm. Of what?" Stefania speaks up, letting go of the hand holding her own. Brows furrowing in confusion and anger. It still gave her no right to attack the blonde. "Of me taking the lead role?"
"That, yes..." She breathes in a huff, meticulously planning her following words. "Maybe, also, the fact that I have always had a crush on you as well..." Eyes boring into those chocolate hues, almost forgetting the existence of the girl who stood next to the brunette. "Honestly, the only reason I hooked up with Zach was because I was trying to make Danielle jealous. I thought they had a connection..." She looks over to the blonde, disconnecting her glance from the brunette. "But boy— I was wrong. I thought we might have been able to have a shot together if she left you for him..."
Danielle almost laughs, choking on her next words. "You really think you had a shot with Stefania... after everything you said about her?" Laughing quickly becomes gritted teeth, spitting out words of fire. Did she really think they could break the couple up? Danielle picks up her rucksack that was now sitting on the floor; swinging it round to land on her back. Attempting to turn around to leave this situation before she says or does something she will regret.
"Wait!" Sarah holds onto the brunette's hand; refraining the both of them from leaving. "I understand what I did was wrong and I am really, truly sorry." She sighs, standing up straight. Placing her face in the cups of her hands, breathing harshly into the palms. Sweat dripping off her forehead from the nerves. "I just wanted to say: good luck for the production. I know you'll be amazing in front of all those people - you really do deserve it."
"Okay..." Stefania replies bluntly, unsure of how to handle this state of affairs, confusion lining the tone of her voice. She was finished talking to the red-head. "Well, thank you for your apology. I hope we can just behave like adults now?"
"Sure..." Turning to look towards the blonde. "Danielle, I am really sorry about your lip and nose too." She takes a couple of steps back, placing space between the three of them. Breathing heavily as she scans the room to relocate her friendship group. "I am glad it's healed now though..." And with that, she swivels around and runs to her friends, exiting the studio with them, not looking back.
