"Oh my gosh..." Danielle positions her smart phone up to her ear. Listening to the dial sounds as she paces her apartment floor. Carrying a hefty envelope in her hands. Pausing the morning news on the television so she could concentrate all of her energy on this conversation. They weren't mentioning anything interesting anyway.
"Hi-" Stefania says into the the phone, her voice sounding sleepy and groggy. It was rather early - she could still hear the birds singing outside to the morning sunrise. Yet, her voice remained incredibly seductive to the blue-eyed woman. "Is everything okay?"
"Have you checked your mail yet?" The blonde asks like an excited puppy. Biting her fingernails in anticipation with a nervous smile, waiting for the brunette to respond. Pulling out the scripts with her spare hand from the brown envelope.
"No- why?"
"Oh my gosh... You need to check your mail, babe," Danielle could hear movements on the other end of the line along with a subtle yawn and stretching sounds. The blonde had just got back from her morning gym session so she's been awake for hours in comparison to her girlfriend. She could barely contain her excitement as she blurts out, "We got the scripts!"
Stefania stumbles to the front door and picks up two brown envelopes: one for her and one for her roommate. She had been in this situation before, so it was nothing new to her, but equally finding it super-adorable that her girlfriend is very thrilled. Opening the one addressed to her while holding the phone up to her ear with her shoulder.
"This is so exciting!" The brunette exclaims, heading towards her roommates door to inform the curly-haired woman, to no surprise, she was still sleeping. Moving into the living room sit down on the sofa with her script. "Did you want to come round in a bit and we can go through the pages together?"
"Sounds like a plan!" The blonde plonks herself in front of the bathroom door. Ready to shower before heading out. "I'll bring some lunch over too."
Danielle walks into a bakery down one of the high streets, inhaling the sweet and savoury pastries on display. Tea and coffee brewing behind the baristas. It was a dainty café and served delicious pastries. Having experienced one of their flavoured croissants before it easily became a favourite place to attend. Especially while studying or reading. The atmosphere was always so peaceful and the staff are super friendly.
"I'll have two croissants and two chai lattes to go, please." The blonde slips her card out of her purse to pay for their lunch. Patiently waiting for the baristas to make up her order. It was another quiet day in here - an elder couple bunched up in the back corner sipping on their earl grey teas. Two little children weaving in and out of the chairs while their parents have a civilised cup of coffee together.
"Thank you so much," Danielle smiles at the staff, placing the wrapped croissants in her bag and carrying the warm chai lattes in her hands. Hoping the Italian will find the bakery up to her high standards.
She finds herself at the front door of her girlfriends apartment. The beverages still piping hot in her hands having survived the trip across a few streets. Knocking lightly on the door.
"Hi beautiful!" Danielle grins, admiring her gorgeous girlfriend dressed in some blue-wash denim jeans and an autumnal orange knitted jumper. Ushering the blonde inside her home. "How are you?"
She sets down the drinks on the side as they walk into the open-plan kitchen. Pulling the croissants out of her bag.
"I'm good, especially now that you're here..." Stefania smirks, embracing her girlfriend into a warm and tight hug. Inhaling the perfume slathered on her neck: floral but sweet. Hints of pastry also invading her nostrils. "Wow - those croissants smell amazing..."
