Chapter 19

*carl's p.o.v.*

When I woke up I heard my dad tell Roxie to break up with me because he doesn't want me to die because of her. I was furious with him. I heard what she said to him and then she ran into one of the back rooms.

I got up and ran into the room that she was in. I saw her crying and that made me even more mad at my dad. I ran up to her and pulled her up from her sitting position. I instantly crashed my lips to hers and she seemed a little shocked but kissed back.

When we pulled apart I hugged her and she hugged back. "I don't care what my dad says or thinks, we will not break up, cause this life's too long and this love's too strong." I said. She nodded with her head still on my chest. "You are extremely cheesy sometimes." She says and lets out a little giggle. I chuckle and say, "Only for you."

"I need to go find my dad and see when we are gonna go hunting." She says and pulls away from the hug. I nod and watch her as she walks out of the room.

*roxie's p.o.v.*

I walk out of the room to find my dad. I look around the church. I look in every room but can't find him. I start to get a little worried. "Have you seen my dad?" I ask Tyreese. "I think him and Carol went outside last night, but they haven't come back. We are all worried." I nod not being able to say anything.

Me and my dad have been separated 3 times now and I don't like it. It's ok though I know he will be back.

*a few hours later*

Dad still has not come back yet and I'm really worried. Glenn was looking outside when he said, "Guys there is something in the grass!" We went outside and saw a bunch of walkers coming our way. I looked at the spot where the thing was and saw Bob lying in the grass and his leg was gone.

People started shooting but stopped when I yelled, "Bob!" I ran over to him and looked at him. They picked him up and ran in the church. I ran in after them and closed the doors quickly.

They laid him on the ground and he started to wake up. "Who did this to you?" Rick asked. "The people from terminus. They are at a school." He said. Sasha said to get pain meds but Bob said no. He showed us his shoulder and there was a huge bite mark. I gasped and walked away.

I couldn't see him like that. I heard Rick and Abraham arguing about leaving. Rick said that we should stay and wait for my dad and Carol but Abraham wanted to leave to go to Washington.

They settled on staying for the night and then if dad and Carol don't come back by morning  then Abraham would take rosita, Eugene, Glenn, Maggie, and Tara. I didn't like that, and I definitely didn't want Glenn to leave, but I just stayed quiet.

"We are gonna go to that school and kill them." Rick said. "Rosita, Eugene, Gabriel, Roxie, and Carl, you stay here."

We nodded and they left and we all went into Gabriel's office where they had Bob laying on the couch. Judith was in a little box doing whatever babies do. We locked the door and me, Rosita, and carl all pointed our guns at the door.

A little while later we heard the door open. "I know you're in here. There's not that many places to hide. Most of your group just left with all of your guns." Someone said. I looked at carl and he mouthed "Gareth." I nodded and looked at the door again.

"I know who is here. Rosita, Eugene, Father Gabriel, Carl, Judith, and Daryl's little girl and Carl's girlfriend, Roxie. Now Roxie, you can live and take the baby with you if you just come out and show us where you are." He said.

I stood where I was. I was not getting ready to lose Carl. "Ok, fine." He said. We then heard a gun shot and yelling. I zoned out and just sat there. I didn't know what to do.

I'm pretty sure that the people from terminus were dead because we heard screams and then it went silent. I opened the door to see blood everywhere. We dragged the bodies outside and I went back into Gabriel's office. I laid down on the couch and drifted off into sleep. But had terrible nightmares of that night.

*carl's p.o.v.*

Dad came up to me and tried to hug me. "No." I said. "What?" He asked confused. "I heard what you told Roxie earlier. We are not breaking up. As long as we are together I will not die. If we broke up I would be so sad that I would try to die. To be honest I don't care about your opinion either." I said and walked away.

I went to the room Roxie was in and saw her asleep on the couch. I smiled and grabbed a blanket. I climbed in beside her and put the blanket on us. I then kissed her cheek and wrapped my arms around her waist. I drifted off into sleep filled with nightmares of this night.
