Chapter 24

*roxie's p.o.v.*

Some of the group just went to look for this car Aaron talked about. I was sitting beside Carl. Rick took Judith from me. He was currently smashing some food for Judith.

"You did see the apple sauce in my bag right?" Aaron says. Rick picks it up, opens it, and takes a spoonful. He walks over to Aaron and tries to make him eat it. Aaron tells this bullshit story about himself when he was little and how he wouldn't poison a baby.

He finally takes a bite and Rick seems satisfied. He feeds it to Judith. "Do you think we with go?" I ask Carl. "Go where?" He asks. "To this guys camp." I say. "I don't know. I hope we do." He says. I nod and put met head on his shoulder.

He rubs circles on my hand. I look at him and smile. "I love you." I say. "I love you too." He says and smiles back. He pecks my lips and I put my head back on his shoulder.

The group that went to look for the car came back. "Was it there?" I ask standing up with Carl standing up too.

"Yes. He wasn't lying." Michonne says. "I still don't know." Rick says. "Are you kidding me? He wasn't lying. He was telling the truth. Don't you want Judith and Carl to be safe? I know I was on your side earlier but if you don't go then I will." I say to Rick.

He looks at me. "He could still be lying." He says. Oh my god. "Rick, he wasn't." Michonne says. They then get into this argument that I zone out of. "Fine. We will leave tonight. Unless you want to tell us where your camp is." Rick says to Aaron. "I'm sorry I can't." He says.

"Then it looks like we are leaving tonight. Everyone get some rest if you can." Rick says. I sigh and sit back down.

*a few hours later*

We are on our way to this camp. Michonne, Glenn, Rick, me and Aaron are riding in the first car and the rest are riding in an rv.

"Please be safe." Carl says and hugs me. I hug him back and say, "I will." We share a quick kiss and part our separate ways.

I walk over to Rick. "Why did you want me to come and not Carl?" I ask. "Because you are a strong girl. I don't want Carl getting hurt. I know he would worry about you too much and get distracted. I know you will worry about him too but you don't get distracted as easily. And besides, I need you to watch my back. I trust you with my life, and my kids life. I trust you with this group. You and your father have always been there to help. Im glad your here." He says and I smile. I walk to the car and get in.

Glenn is driving, Michonne, Aaron, and me are in the back seat, and Rick is in the passengers seat.

We get on our way and take a back road because Rick didn't trust Aaron. I look back to see Michonne looking at the pictures from earlier. She is looking at them strangely.

"Did you ask him the questions?" She asks. "No." Rick says. She asks him the questions and Rick goes through something.

"You were listening to us?!" I ask as Rick pulls out some weird device. "Well yes, I was watching you and I had to listen too." He says. We were so distracted by this that we didn't see all the walkers in front on us.

"Watch out!" I yell. We start driving into the walkers. "The rv!" Rick says. "It's ok, they are behind us." Glenn says. The car and stops and we all get out except for Aaron. Me and Rick get on top of the car. "They got away." I say. "Yeah we need to catch up." He says and we all get back in the car.

Glenn tries to start it but it doesn't work. Me and Michonne get out and start pulling the walker parts from the hood quickly. The walkers are starting to surround us. We quickly try to get back in the car but fall when we get hit by the car door when it flings open and Aaron runs out.

We follow him but we get separated. I'm by myself. Just great. Ugh! Why does this always happen to me!

I start running around trying to find the others. "Roxie!" I hear a soft whisper-yell. "Where are you?" I whisper back . I see Glenn and Aaron walk towards me. "We have to find Rick and Michonne." I say. They nod and we run to try to find them.

We find them fighting off walkers and we help them by shooting them. "Come on! We saw a flare and we think it's the others." Michonne says.

We follow where the flare was and end up in a little neighborhood looking thing.

Dad pops out of a building and I run and hug him. "What the hell happened and why is my daughter covered in blood?!" My dad yells as he puts me down from the hug and walks towards Rick. "We got in a situation with a lot of walkers. It's no big deal, I'm fine." I say. He calms down and I see everyone else walk out of the building. I see Carl and run to him. I hug him and he hugs me back.

"Are you ok?! Why are you covered in blood?!" He says letting go of me and checking my body for bites. "I'm fine. We go in some trouble with walkers but seriously, I'm fine." I say and put my hands on his cheeks to make him look at me in the eyes. "I'm ok." I say. He nods and kisses me.

We were kissing for about 10 seconds before my dad pulls me away from him and picks me up and puts me on his shoulder.

"Dad!" I say. He chuckles. I look to see Carl and Rick having a talk. I wonder what it's about. When we walk inside the building we see Aaron and some guy kissing. My dad covers my eyes.

To be honest I don't like gay people. They gross me out and it also says in the Bible that girls should marry guys and guys should marry girls. That is just how I feel about it. But everyone has there own opinion.

When they are done he uncovers my eyes. We walk into a separate room and he tells me to lay down. When I do he takes a blanket that was just sitting there on the floor and puts it on me.

"Dad, do you think it is a good idea to go to this camp?" I ask. "I don't know. But I will do everything in my power to keep you safe." He says. "Thanks daddy." I say and Get up to hug him. He hugs me back and kisses my forehead.

Rick and the rest of the group walks in along with Aaron. "We will stay here for the night, but you are staying over there." He says pointing to the opposite side of the room and looking directly at Aaron.

"Look, I'm sorry but there is nothing you can do to keep me from being with him right now." Aaron says. Glenn walks up to Rick and says something that I can't hear.

"Fine. You can stay with him." Rick says. "Thank you. You won't regret it when you get to my camp. When we get to Alexandria." Aaron says.

A/N. Hey guys! Sorry I haven't followed my schedule but at least I updated today! I'm so sorry if you felt offended in this chapter about Roxie's opinion on gays. To be honest I feel the same way. Go ahead and stop reading if you want to. Anyway......Stay frosty!
