When It Rains

     Kiran was scared to face Anu. How will she react? He always wanted to talk to her face to face.  But he had no courage. What if she reject him?  He thought that he was not a match for Anu. Anu was so beautiful.  Kiran thought himself as an average guy. Even though he stood in front of her for several times, Anu never noticed him before.  He couldn't take her rejection. So he never approached her directly.  But this time he cannot stop himself to going to see her.  He couldn't forget the crying face of Anu in TV screen.  He thought , she and her family need support now. He knew, her family have no other relatives to help them.  In a rape case, definitely friends too won't interfere. They were worrying about their status and they scared of further problems comes after involving in a sex scandal . Nobody stood for them.  But , Kiran decided to go and meet Anu ! He was not scared of anything.

       Kiran drove  the car through the heavy rain and traffic. When he reached Anu's home , he hesitated a while to enter into the courtyard . He could see Anand and  Anu sitting in the door steps.  They are Still
Sitting there in the same position, not even entered into the house. Kiran couldn't see her mother.  He thought she would be inside the home. Anu was laying on Anand's lap and weeping.  Anand was holding her tightly. It is evident that he was also crying without voice.  Kiran stood in front of them.

     Anand lifted his face and looked into Kiran's eyes . Kiran understood, Anand was looking him with suspicion. Anu was still laying on Anand's lap. By seeing it Kiran felt a fuming sensation of jealousy in his heart. He dodged that thought. They are siblings , intimacy is natural.  But Kiran became jealous because of that intimacy.  Anu not even gave a glance to him. Kiran wanted to be the most important person in her life. But she always gave importance to her brother.

He wanted to hold her as Anand. But she loves her brother only. She never gave a nod to his love. So he became jealous to Anand.  Kiran scolded his mind for his jealousy. He knew it was not the right time for such thoughts.

         He introduced himself to Anand;

" I am Kiran, a well wisher of your father and your family". 

By hearing this , Kiran saw his girl was lifting herself from her brother's lap. She looked  at him. He could see the shock in her eyes. She stared at him for few seconds and again snugged her head into Anand's embrace.  Kiran really wanted to pull her from Anand and wanted to hold her in his embrace as Anand . But she ignored him. So, she don't want him, she don't like him. That is what Kiran thought.  He came to console her, but she ignored him.  He smelled her rejection in it. Still he continued to Anand.

      "I am an orphan who lived in St. Xavier's orphanage. Your father was my sponsor. Your parents gave me everything. Though they don't know me, I know them very well. Your parents sponsor so many kids in the orphanage for their lives and education. I was one among them. They may not be aware of my love towards them.  I owe a lot to my sponsors. I wanted to repay them.  So, I wanted to know everything about my sponsors. I collected the information secretly. This is the time to show my gratitude to your family. Anand, please believe me.  I want to help you. This is a chance to me to help your family. Allow me please".

      Kiran heard a sound from inside the house. Anu's mother came outside and invited him to the house. Though she was crying, she looked so strong by her actions. She knew that, her children are not capable of handling this problem alone. She too didn't know about Court procedure. She needed somebody's support to help
her husband. She realized that she couldn't be weak. She should behave courageously.

         Kiran and Archana talked about appointing a lawyer for Asok. Kiran was a stranger to Archana, still she showed so intimacy to him after hearing the name of St. Xavier's home. She knew that, a child from that orphanage cannot  hurt her family. She accepted his help. After some time Archana recognized Kiran's face. She was sure that she met him earlier in that orphanage. Because his face seemed familiar to her.
