Kiran pressed his foot on the accelerator and took the car forward through an alley he saw on the side.

Somehow Kiran move the car through the alley. Still, they were in long queue of vehicles. By passing every moment, Kiran started to lose his control. His mind, heart, soul everything wanted to see Anu. He cursed himself. He shouldn't have to do this. Anu is innocent.

"God, what I have done? Why did you make me useless like this?"

He wanted to fly his car now. His mind gave an alert to him. Something bad is going to happen. Suddenly on his car, something fell from sky. It was like stones showering from air. He looked into it. On the front glass he saw 'hail stones.' Whenever he saw hail stones he would think about his mother. First time he watched hail stones with his mother.

She said it is "Aalippazham". (In malayalam pazham means fruit. A fruit from sky).

Then Kiran asked his mother;

"Amma you always read a novel named alippazham in weekly. Is it the story of same fruit? "

" It is not the same alippazham. But that story is not meant for kids. When you grow up you will understand about it."

When he grown up his amma gone. But, he witnessed that story in front of his eyes even before his teenage. He saw an alippazham in his eyes when it had three years old. And he himself is a hail stone.

Decades before, Kerala was so conservative about openly writing sexual contents. First time in the history a weekly published a story of a teenage girl. She got raped by a man. And that was a revolutionary story. Nobody forgets it. It became a part of social change. So, for mallus (kerala people), hail stone means rape victims. Not all mallus of new generation are aware of this story. It is a two decade before story. Though Kiran never read the novel, he knows what hail stone represents.

Through the shower of hail stones, Kiran drove the car.

Kiran was very worried. Will Anu also become a hailstone because of him? Kiran's eyes filled with tears in that thought.

Kiran couldn't bear to see what he and his younger sister had experienced in their lives happen to Anu or Anand. After thinking for so long that nothing like that would happen, he realized Sathyan's deception when his friend called. No matter how fast he drove, he still had an hour to go. His heart ached.

"Oh God, nothing should happen."

Kiran prayed to God.
