At another location the chipmunk began again
It hurt her to leave but she knew he wouldn't realize what he could lose
She began to roam around and scurry here and there
Then one day she bumped into a familiar fuzzy thing
She tried to run again but he stopped her
He asked her why she left and she responded, what do you know
Funny how the same words could be said but hurt more when said from someone else
He was ashamed
But waited
She then told him that he would have hurt her like that but three times more
He looked away and understood what she meant
Without saying a word they both knew love blossomed
They locked hands and went home
