Far far into the woods a single parrot lived
But why was the parrot deep in the woods?
He was rare
No other parrot was golden
He wore his hearts color above his feather's
Under his wings his colors still showed
Someone had to break his spell
For the meantime he waited patiently
Then one day a group of hikers came
He stayed far above the trees to not be seen
But he didn't realize that one of his feather's had fallen
A female hiker spotted it and took it home
Such a rare feather should go into her collection
As she held the feather she closed her eyes and wished for a pet
She then put it away and turned off the lights to sleep
In the box she had placed the feather in started to rattle and light up
Suddenly the parrot appeared
The girl was scared and tried to hide herself
As her heart raced her eyes were trying to see through the dark
Then quickly she turned the light on and tried to spot what was there
The parrot looked at her and just stared at her
She thought of why the parrot was there and why it was golden
Then she realize that she had asked for a pet friend
The parrot didn't know if to talk to her or to wait and see
She was happy and placed the parrot on top of her lamp
The parrot was happy and decided that it should wait
The next day
She talked to the parrot and asked it if he wanted something
He moved his beak and insinuated food
She laughed and said of course
I'm hungry too
She went out and bought some food for both of them and she bought him a stand we're he could be
She wondered if he was potty trained and if he knew how to talk
Some parrots talk
Even when they mock another
She tried talking to it every time
But received nothing
She bought it a bird bath and placed it in the garden
After sometime the parrot would get on her shoulder and follow her
He would take his bath while she fed the other birds
Who would have thought that out of all the pets a rare parrot would be her pet
Then one day as she was in the garden the parrot went up above the tree because it felt something odd
As he looked he spotted two guys
He never seen them around but why were they near her home
He crept closer and over heard them speaking
They said, she's there alone it's time
The parrot flew high and went to the girl
When she saw him she smiled and asked him we're he went
This time he spoke
He said to her, hide, hide
She looked at him and couldn't believe it talked
She listened to him and hid
Suddenly the door burst open and the two guys came in
They were looking for her
To take to their boss
Apparently she had hidden herself from him and he was just taking what was his
She kept quiet and tried to slow her heart
They passed by her hidden spot and didn't see her
They decided to light her home up so she wouldn't have a place to go to
As flames appeared the parrot appeared before her
He told her to not be scared and just close her eyes
She kept her eyes closed and stayed huddled
The parrot flapped it's wings and gold dust fell on her
The flames tried to creep towards her but couldn't touch her
She looked at the parrot and held him close to her
She ran out of the home and asked the parrot were they could go
He flew up again and lead her to a cabin in the woods
After a long hike they got to the place
Suddenly the parrot started to light up
Colors flashed all over
The parrot then transformed back into a human
The girl was surprised and couldn't understand what had happened
The man before her then told her that he had to be in that form because he had done a lot of wrong
He now had to help someone and do good
She was able to break his spell
She then told him why all of that happened to her
He then made traps in case they came looking for her
After sometime they became closer
Then they started having feelings for each other
After more time they settled down and had a family of their own
