Chapter 19: Crush

Liana goes to the Kent's and see's Clark. Clark says, "Hi." Liana says, "Hey, Clark. Is your mon around? I wanted to order some more of her pies." Clark says, "She's in class. I can help you." Liana says, "I didn't expect to see you here. I thought you'd be helping Chloe proof read the latest edition." Clark says, "She had enough help." Liana softly says, "Are you two still fighting?" Clark says, "Who said we were fighting?" Liana says, "I kind of heard it yesterday at the career fair. What's going with you two?" Clark says, "Chloe likes me." Liana softly smiles and says, "So how do you feel about her?" Clark says, "Like maybe we could be more than friends. When I saw her with Justin today, I got kind of --" Liana says, "Jealous?" Clark says, "It's like you find out this secret and it colors everything. Just can't believe I never saw it before." Liana says, "Sometimes the right person can be right in front of your eyes and you never even know it." Clark says, "Uh, so how many pies did you want?" Liana smiles and says, "A dozen." Clark says, "How's Whitney? I hear his dad's feeling better." Liana says, "He's great." Clark says, "Everything okay?" Liana smiles and says, "Never better. Good luck. I hope things work out with Chloe." Clark says, "Me too." Liana says, "Bye." 

The next day at the Talon, Liana says to Clark, "I wish everything sold as well as your mon's organic apple pies." Clark says, "Every little bit helps." Whitney comes over and says, "Hey, Clark." Clark says, "Hey, Whitney, how's your dad?" Whitney says, "On the mend. Happy to be home." Whitney then looks at Liana and says, "Hey, keep Saturday night free. I've got two tickets to Our Town at Metropolis Playhouse." Liana says, "Wow, what inspired you to do that?" Whitney says, "Saw you reading it at school. Thought it might start making up for lost time." Whitney kisses Liana's cheek and smiles, "See you." Liana smiles and says, "Bye." Clark the walks back over and Liana says, "How are things with Chole?" Clark says, "Unresolved." Liana says, "What are you gonna do?" Clark says, "I don't know, I just... don't want to lose a friend in the process." Liana says, "Once you've crossed that line, you can't go back." Clark says, "Chloe gave that same advice about... about someone else." Liana says, "What happened?" Clark says, "I decided to stay friends." Liana says, "Do you regret that decision?" Clark says, "Yeah... I let that moment slip away and I don't think I'll ever get it back. I don't want to make that same mistake twice." Liana nods and says, "Then go get her, before it's too late." Clark nods and says, "Thanks." Liana nods and says, "No problem." 

The next day at the Talon. Liana watch's Clark and Chole hold hands with a smile. Liana then sees Whitney and sees his teary eyes and Liana softly says, "What's wrong? What happened?" Whitney says, "It's my dad." Whitney's father had past away. 

In this episode, Liana is happy about Clark and Chloe. She's supportive of her friends getting together. She's not like Lana, where Lana was jealous and was about to break up with Whitney.
