Clark goes to see Liana at the Talon and she says, "So how does it feel having a little-brother-type figure in your life?" Clark says, "It's pretty cool." Liana says, "Having a sibling is the best. They're your best friend and you can always count on them." Later, Liana notices Ryan running out the door scared. Liana goes to find Clark and says, "Ryan just took off out the back. He looked scared, Clark." Clark then goes after him.

The next day, Liana's working at the Talon and Mr. Kent and Ryan come up to her and Mr. Kent says, "Knock, knock." Liana says, "Mr. Kent, this is a surprise." Mr. Kent says, "Yeah, Ryan's been doing chores with me all day, so I figured he deserved a break. I'd a cup of coffee, give him whatever he wants and if you can point me to a phone I'll see if Martha wants anything." Liana says, "Alright, it's in the back." Mr. Kent says, "Alright. Enjoy." Mr. Kent then walks away and Liana says, "So, how you feeling today?" Ryan says, "Much better, thanks." Liana says, "Good." Ryan says, "Do you think it's okay if friends have secrets?" Liana furrows her brows and says, "Strange question. Why do you ask?" Ryan says, "Because I think Clark's hiding something from me." Liana says, "Everybody has secrets, Ryan." Ryan says, "Really? What's yours?" Liana softly smiles and says, "If I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret." Ryan laughs and says, "I guess your right." Liana softly laughs and the the waitress Skye comes over to pick up a tray of glasses. Liana smiles and says, "Thanks, Skye, you're a lifesaver." Skye says, "Your welcome." Liana notices Ryan's frown and says, "Why the frown?" Ryan says, "She's not a good person Liana. You should fire her." Liana frowns and says, "Ryan, why would you say something like that?" Ryan says, "'Cause it's the truth." Liana says, "How do you know?" Ryan says, "It's a secret."

The next day, Clark and Ryan come into the Talon to see Liana. Clark says, "Hi, Liana." Liana says, "Hey." Clark says, "Ryan would like to say goodbye." Liana says, "Where are you going?" Ryan says, "Edge City." Clark says, "Chloe's researched turned up an aunt who lives there. She's coming by this afternoon." Liana says, "I wanted to thank you for the advice on Skye. You were right. She was stealing from the till." Liana smiles and kisses his cheek." Clark says, "Hey." Ryan says, "Wow." Liana softly laughs and Ryan smiles and says, "Thank you." As Ryan walks away, Clark says, "I think you made his year." Liana softly smiles.
Since Ryan could read minds, Liana's secret is her powers and Ryan knew, but didn't tell Clark, because it's not his secret to tell.
