One Month Later - Seattle, Washington
We are currently in Seattle, Washington chasing a cabin killer. Multiple couples have been found brutally murdered. A snow storm was about to sweep through at any moment. It was dark and the storm had grown stronger. The threat of a coming blizzard hung in the air. We should've stopped for the night, but we were so close. The unsub was running through the woods and if he got away again, he might kill someone. Despite all their concerns, the team separated in search of him.
Emily was running as best as she could through the trees. The wind was howling around her and visibility was becoming increasingly difficult. She stopped and looked around, seeing barely inches in front of her.
"Everyone pull back. It's too dangerous, I want everyone back now," Hotch said over the com-link.
"Copy," Emily said as she looked down to follow her footprints. Before she could move again she felt something slam against her head, she fell and before she could grab something to hit the unsub with he hit her again in the face. They wrestled in the snow before the unsub stood up kicking her hard in the stomach. He got on top of her squeezing his hands right around her neck.
She felt around for a stick, once she had it in her hand she hit him then stood grabbing her gun shooting and killing him. She tried to scream for help but the wind was too loud and her com-link was lost in the snow. She walked a few feet before finding an abandoned cabin. She curled up on the old mattress that was in the corner hoping someone would come for her soon.

"Hotch isn't been 3 hours! Emily is out there with a serial killer and we are just gonna sit around?!" Derek yelled as he paced the length of cabin.
"We have officers and dogs out there looking but with the snow falling the way it is it's going to be difficult." Before he could say anything else his phone rung. "Shit it's JJ" they all stopped and watched as he answered it. "Agent Hotchner"
"Hey Hotch, I'm trying to get ahold of Emily, is she there?" He stood there his fingers pinched against his nose. "Hotch? Hello?"
"There's been.. Emily is missing in a blizzard right now. We are trying to locate her. We were going after an unsub and spilt up.." there was silence at the end of the phone. Hotch pulled it away looking to make sure it didn't hand up. "JJ?"
"I'm on my way and I swear to God, if my girlfriend doesn't make it it will be your head!" The phone hung up and Hotch stormed from the cabin the door slamming behind him. Hotch knew that every word JJ said was true, her mom is friends with the FBI director. They had to find Emily.

Emily sneezed for the eighth time. She looked at her watch and saw she still had two more hours until sunrise. She was now shaking uncontrollably from the cold. She tried getting up to walk around, but she was so tired, and her body felt numb. It didn't want to cooperate with her. Her stomach was cramping so bad.
"Emily! Emily can you hear me?" Jennifer shouted as her and the rest of the team walked through the snow searching for Emily. She wanted Hotch's head on a platter if they didn't find her.
"Found her!!" Jennifer took off as a local officer shouted down by some trees. Once she got there her legs almost gave out.
Emily was not responding. She was curled up tightly underneath a black jacket that was covered in snow. Her bottom and legs were buried underneath the snow, as well. It looked like she tried to walk back and couldn't. Jennifer dropped beside her and shook her. She didn't move. She looked helplessly at Derek, who bent down and tilted Emily's head back.
Her head flopped limply to the side as Derek ripped off his glove and placed it to her neck. Jennifer watched for a sign that she was still alive.
"She has a pulse. It's weak, but it's there," he said before lifting his wrist to his mouth. "We've got her. She's unconscious, but still breathing."
Jennifer brushed the snow away from her and lifted her limp body into her arms. They made the long walk back to the entrance of the woods where the ambulance was waiting for them. She gave Hotch the look of death as they passed him.

"What is taking so long?" Jennifer asked as she paced the hospital waiting room floor. Emily has been here for 5 hours already and nobody was telling her anything. Hotch was the only one who knew anything because he was the Unit Cheif.
He walked into the waiting room, his eyes red from being up for hours on end. "Any news?" Derek asked.
"She's stable right now. She has no permanent damage, she only suffered one injury. She has refused visitors at this time" he looked over at me "Even you JJ.. She wants to be alone right now"
"What, she's my girlfriend, you can't keep me from her!"
"Not my orders, that came from her. Give her time. Go back to the cabin and get some rest, I'll let you guys know when we are heading home" everyone stayed seated and Hotch sighed. "Look guys, I know we are all worried about Emily, she's fine, she's just.. She needs time right now." We all nodded and left.
A few hours later me, Derek, and Tara along with Garcia came back to the hospital sneaking past the waiting room Hotch was in. When they got to Emily's room, they slowly opened the door and peered in. The room was dark, and Emily's back was to them. From the movement of her body and the small sounds of sniffles, they could tell she was crying.
"Emily?" Tara said gently as to not startle her. They saw Emily freeze up and wipe her face sniffling.
"What do you want?" Her voice was so cold and angry.
"We wanted to check on you.."
"I said I didn't want any visitors, please leave!"
"I'm sorry... We are worried about!" Garcia said shakily.
"Emily, I know you are hurting, but we care about you. We just needed to see that you were alright," Derek tried.
Emily sat up in the bed and turned to face them. Her face swollen from crying.
"I'm fine! See? I'm alive and I'm well! Now go!" she shouted.
They all stared at her in shock. Emily had never acted like this before. Was she mad that they hadn't saved her immediately? Did she think that they had abandoned her?
"Emily, we tried to get to you..." Derek started.
"This isn't about you Derek! It isn't about you at all! So, please ..." she began to sob. "Go!"
Before anybody could say anything else Hotch stormed through the door, "What did I tell you guys? No visitors, leave now!" We all turned to leave, JJ stood still.
"Emily.." I said softly. My hands itching to hold her.
"Please leave Jennifer.." she turned back over pulling the covers over her. "Go Jennifer.. Please" she left and joined the rest in the hallway as Hotch got on to them for going against orders.
"Tell me what's going on right now Aaron!" Jennifer yelled as she walked over to him. He sighed and stared at her.
"Come on.." they walked over to the other end of the hallway, the team following their movements. They saw them talking quietly. They knew something was wrong because JJ had a look of devastation on her face before she ran over to the trash can throwing up. She slide down the wall crying into her hands. Hotch kneeled down in front of her, his hand on her shoulder.
They knew something wasn't right but they could only wait for someone to tell them..
