Part 21

I'm currently in my 6th month of pregnancy, baby Jareau is growing every second now. I'm currently in my office working, waiting on our doctor to call with the sex of the baby. I wanted to surprise everyone. Jennifer and I have talked about how to tell everyone. Once I found out what we are having, we're gonna gather the team in the conference room since they are family.

I'm hoping for a girl, Jennifer wants a boy so they can get on my nerves. She was suppose to be here for lunch 20 minutes ago.

As I'm moving to the next case file there's a knock at the door and my phone starts ringing. "Come in" I yell before picking up my phone.

"Prentiss" I wave and smile at Jennifer as she walks through the door with food.

"Hi Ms. Prentiss, this is Sarah down at the doctors office. We got back your results for the sex of your baby" I sat up in my chair.

"Okay.. What is it?" I brought my thumb to my mouth and started biting at my nail. I looked at Jennifer as she sat down in the chair in front of my desk. We locked eyes as the doctor read the results to me. I covered my mouth as I started crying.

"Omg okay thank you so much Sarah" I hung up the phone and sat back covering my face crying.

"What's going on Emily?" I heard Jennifer ask. She was knelt down beside my chair now.

"Our baby, it's a..."

We sat in the office during the whole lunch break talking and crying about the baby before we decided to gather the team in the conference room.

"Why are we in here?" I heard Will ask as Jennifer and I walked into the room. I had to clean my face up from crying.

"Well, Jennifer and I have just found out about the gender of our baby and we wanted to share it with you guys. Y'all are family to us."

"Ohhh, what are you having?!" Garcia said basically jumping up and down in her chair.

"We are having a baby boy!!" The conference erupted into cheers, Derek ran over picking me up.

"That's amazing princess! Another boy for the mens club" I rolled my eyes at that as Rossi came over grabbing my face kissing both cheeks.

"Another grandson to spoil" next was Reid.

"Cal tech right?" I chuckled and ruffled his hair, he then gave me a hug lifting me up slightly. I always forget how strong he really is.

"Congratulations Emily" Will said quietly and left the room, he was still upset that I didn't want him.

"Congratulations you guys!" Tara said, she was the newest agent we got.

"Dinner at y'all's tonight?" Hotch said with a rare smile of his face.

"Of course sir" I said smiling back. We stayed in the conference chatting since we all were finished for the day. We decided what we wanted for dinner and what game we were gonna play. We decided to do a simple pasta and then play charades.

I went home while Jennifer stopped by the grocery store. I wanted to get home and clean a little, plus these work outfits are uncomfortable. I started by cleaning the living room, dusting and running the swifter around the floors, then I moved into the kitchen wiping it down.

After cleaning up I headed upstairs to take a quick shower and change into something more comfortable on the stomach. I threw on some leggings with a t-shirt and cardigan. I went downstairs and made me a cup of tea before sitting on the couch and turning on re-runs of Greys Anatomy.

I was asleep on the couch when Jennifer came home, that was 15 minutes later. I was facing the couch with my arm laid across my stomach.

"Emily.." I heard in my ear, I knew it was Jennifer but I also didn't want to open my eyes.

"Hmm?"

"You gotta get up baby. Go upstairs and lay down while I cook. We still have 2 hours." I nodded up and sat up smiling up towards her.

"Welcome home" she bent down and gave me a kiss then knelt in front of me kissing my stomach.

"Thank you. You feeling okay?"

"Yeah just tired, your son is playing soccer" she pouted at me and rubbed my stomach.

"Well, go upstairs and try laying on the bed, the couch is an uncomfortable place for a pregnant woman"

"It appears so" I stood up and gave her another kiss before heading upstairs to our room.

I was finishing up the food when I heard Penelope and Derek come through the door and into the kitchen.

"Well come on in" behind them was Reid with his girlfriend Max then Hotch and Beth. Lastly, was Dave and Krystal holding bottles of wine, along with Tara. Dave of course came right into the kitchen to make sure the pasta was okay. Everyone was finally in the kitchen sitting at the bar or at the table talking and laughing.

"Where's Emily?" Krystal asked after a little minute.

"She's upstairs taking a nap. I'm actually about to go get her up" Garcia jumped up.

"I'll go get her finish up dinner" I nodded and she walked out of the kitchen to grab Emily.

Emily and Garcia returned 15 minutes later, Emily looked so beautiful walking into the kitchen. Her hands underneath her stomach as she walked in, her black hair that had gotten longer falling down her back. The beautiful glow that grazed her face and the way her laugh was always the loudest.

We all sat around the table eating. Everyone kept asking us about the baby. What we are gonna name him, who's the godmother (Garcia asking of course), and who's last name is he taking?

It didn't hit us until after everyone left and we were finally in bed on the brink of sleep.

"We have to get married!" We both said sitting up.

Ah, a Jareau wedding.

I see them having a black and white wedding, something medium sized and luxurious 🥺

Any ideas for the wedding? Any name ideas?
