Christmas Day

Emily and I work up around 8 that morning, it was our first Christmas as a family and as a married couple. After changing Ace we headed downstairs. I bet you're wondering how I'm hiding a tattoo, right? I've been wearing a hoodie since I left the tattoo shop and since it's snowing she hasn't said a thing.

"Okay I wanna go ahead and get this over with because I'm burning up" I pulled my hoodie off and she gasped looking at my arm.

"Oh my god.. It's beautiful.." she grabbed my hand looking closet at the tattoo. "I love it baby" she grabbed my face giving me a kiss.

"Look at mommas tattoo bubsy" she held Ace down so it appeared as if he was looking at it. I smiled at them. We made our way over to the couch. Emily gasped at seeing everything under the tree.

"Uh, where did all those come from..?" She asked sitting down on the couch.

"Most of these are yours, some are Aces then the rest are for family." She down on the floor with Ace in front of the tree. His eyes were wide as he looked at the lights. We started to open the gifts handing each other gifts.

After opening up several boxers of jewelry, technology, clothes, shoes, cologne, and perfumes. It was time for the big reveal.

"I have another gift for you.." I took Ace from Emily and handed her a blindfold. "I'm gonna go grab Ace a jacket and I'll meet you back in this spot. Grab your jacket from the hall closet and wait"

"Yes sir" I chuckled and headed upstairs to grab Ace and I some jackets and shoes. Emily was standing there on foyer when I came back down with the blindfold over her eyes and my hoodie on.

"I think that's mine right?" She jumped and screamed.

"Stop scaring me!" I laughed and grabbed her hand, I walked outside to where her new car sat, it was delivered early this morning.

"Take your blindfold off" she took it off and her eyes widen and her jaw dropped.

"Oh. My. God. You bought me a car?!"

"Not just any car. I got you a 2020 X6 xDrive40i. Jet black with tacora red vernasca leather and every upgrade possible. You deserve this baby. You take such good care of Ace and I. You put yourself first in everything we do. You're an amazing woman and mom Emily Elizabeth Jareau. I'm so thankful to have a wife like you" she had tears running down her face the entire time, she pulled me into a hug carefully trying not to squeeze Atlas.

"I love you so much Jennifer Andrea Jareau. You are one of kind and I'll never take you for granted." I handed her the keys as she jumped and down. She ran over to the car jumping in. I could see her through the window checking out everything.

Inside I had got Ace a custom car seat and Emily's initials were on the seats. She got out and ran over to me. "Thank you so much baby! I can't wait to drive it tonight"

"Jennifer Andrea Jareau, if you aren't down these stairs in 2 seconds it's not going to be pretty!" I heard feet clumping down the stairs then my wife appearing.

"Sorry sorry, I forgot y-" she stopped talking for a second "I almost forgot deodorant" I eyed her up and down before handing her Ace so I could slip my jacket on.

"You're a weirdo but I love you. Do you have everything you need?"

"Yes Agent Prentiss" I rolled my eyes as she smirked. We headed outside to the car putting everything inside. I ran around to the drivers side and jumped in, I was so excited to drive my new car. I started the car up with a smile, hearing the v8 engine coming alive.

I pulled out of the driveway and headed towards Rossi's place. We had our Christmas playlist playing in the background, Jennifer had her left hand on my thigh as she scrolled through her phone with the other. I checked the mirror and Ace was sound asleep.

I felt very content with my life. I never expected myself to be a mom let alone a wife to someone.

We arrived at Rossi's 30 minutes later. Garcia was already out the door to see Ace.

"Damn Prentiss, nice car." Derek said coming down the steps.

"Thank you, one of my many Christmas gifts"

"Damn Jareau, nice!" They did their handshake and I rolled my eyes.

"Y'all bring those gifts in please" I grabbed the diaper bag and Atlas's car seat heading inside.

"Ahh! Bella!" Rossi greeted me. He grabbed my face kissing both of my cheeks, I smiled brightly.

"Hi Dave, Merry Christmas" we headed into the living room.

"Merry Christmas, where is that grandson of mine?" I chuckled.

"Somewhere with Garcia, there's no telling"

"That woman I tell ya!" He said going back into the kitchen.

"Hey Emily" Reid said coming into the room with Max.

"Hey guys! Merry Christmas!" He hugged and then sat down to talk. Jennifer and Derek finished bringing all the gifts in then headed into the kitchen with Hotch and Dave. Garcia finally came back into the living room handing Ace to me. His eyes were wide as he looked around.

"Hey bubsy" I kissed his lips before holding him to my chest, I knew he would fall back to sleep like that.

"How has the little guy been?" Tara said.

"Oh he's amazing guys! I love him and I'm so thankful to have him." We sat there talking until dinner was called, we got up heading into the dinning room, I took my place beside Jennifer, Ace still against my chest.

"I would like to start off with a prayer. I know most of us don't recognize our religion but we've been through a lot this year and last year. We've seen life and death. So gather hands and I'll pray" we all held hands and bowed our heads.

"Lord and Giver of all good things, the magi travelled for miles to bring the Christ child the first Christmas presents. So may we, too, remember with thankful hearts the love that comes with each present we open. We also thank you for the love you have for each of us, and we thank you for the many gifts that you give us, especially the gift of live itself. Amen." We repeated amen after him and dug into the food. Jennifer made my plate for me.

We sat around the table talking and laughing, the volume growing louder within seconds. Atlas slept through it all, only moving a little bit. Halfway through dinner Jennifer took him from me so I could finish my food. She was currently auguring with Derek over their last COD game. I chuckled at them, they're such kids.

After dinner we moved outside to the covered patio, Dave had a fire going. It was tradition to sit outside after dinner to unwind. Dave has his cigar and whiskey while the rest of us either had wine or a beer.

The ring in my pocket was burning a hole. I know that we are already married but I still wanted to do this for her. She deserves so much. My palms were sweating as I watched her laugh with the girls. Ace was tucked in Max's arms.

I stood up and walked to the front and cleared my throat, everyone looked my way and I suddenly couldn't breathe. "Emily could you come here" she looked at me confused but came anyways.

"I just want to start off by saying I love you, I love you so much it hurts. Seeing you in that police station.. I didn't expect us to end up here. You have taught me so much about life, so much about love. But I'm not here to say all that, I'm here to ask you to marry me. I want to grow old with you, I want to be the one that holds you forever. I want to love you for many lifetimes. So, Emily Elizabeth Jareau, will you marry me again?"

"JAREAU?!" The team said while Emily said, "Yes" with a laugh as tears streamed down her face. I slide the new finger onto her finger before pulling her into a kiss.
