It's Not Goodbye

I thought it was goodbye,
But only till next time,

I wanted it to be forever,
I guess it only be with time.

A timer on my life,
Time bomb on my emotions,

Could literally go "BOOM!"
And everyone would run away.

So I always hid it,
Saying this is myself,

I hid it a bit too well,
Cause I can't find her,

She ran, thinking I didn't want her.

She said I was reckless,
That I was ill,

Stopwatch on my problems,
To see how long they'd last.

Since they'll last forever,
I don't think it's alright,

I moved from whispers,
To broken doors.

Breaking hearts,
And running away from others,

"Turn the other way,
"It's not safe",

When was I ever safe?

I'll run infront of the car,
Then quickly on the side walk,

Cause I love the adrenaline it brings.

I'll tell the teacher they're wrong,
That students aren't their paycheck,

Just to see the disappoint on their faces.

I'll tell the parents they don't deserve me,
Just birth givers that happened to get me,

Just to see the tears in their eyes.

But what haven't I seen?
Let's bet if they saw life through my eyes,

They would break and cry.

I held it up,
I moved on,

No matter how many times the water said, "jump".

Guess they hoped for me to die,
To never find life,

They got a wrong thought.

I got someone to love,
Someone for my pain,

Someone to share with, the heartache,

Someone to show me love,
Someone to show me life.

And if it got too much for us,
They'd hold my hand and we'd go down.

But not because I die,
It doesn't mean it's goodbye,

Cause just like when I was born,
I never said "hi".
