I never thought I'd go in overdrive,
The way your face lights up the place,
And gives me air right through my lungs on the dark days.Never once thought I could thrive,
Not without your heartbeat against my head,
Laying on your chest as you calmed me down.I did all those things to you,
And you just let me get away,Forever I turnt off the lights,
But you saw through it, always.Couldn't survive,
Without one smile,
Each and every day.Without your guide,
Just I and I,
Why would you just go away?Say there's pleasure without pain,
I won't believe it anyway,
The joy I always felt, no way,
No poison, just my vervain,Game or no, ever on the low,
Shudder and leave, not even a hello,
Rain upon me, your dark shows,
Leave or stay you say it's a no.Give or take, thought you were mine,
Wouldn't once let myself believe,
That you were taken by that sunshine.Overdressed, to impress,
Missed telling you how much better looked,
With just your pjs or your night gown on.Went feral and dragged you to my nest,
Where all the beast, they lay awake,
To take your heart and your soul from around me.Stuck and wasn't bulletproof,
Got fooled that I once was,
Went out of my house and got shot before daylight. Can't you take a no?
Said nuh uh no,Told you my lies,
After I locked them inside,Promised not to spill the truth,
But around you I didn't refused.Thought that was it,
Threw a big fit,Lashed out,
Gave me a big hit,Reasonable, since I never tried,
Obsession was always a thing of mine.
