Maudie POV

Ezra paid the Uber driver and we all got out of the car.

Standing right there was a ginormous building.

We all stared at it with awe.

"This is it...." Ezra said.

"Woah that building is 6 times taller than me." Kyle said.

We all looked at Kyle .

There's no way that building is just 6 times taller than Kyle.

"Oh is it more?" Kyle asked.

"Yes, a lot more." Ava said.

"Lets just get in and be early for the interview." I said

"I agree." Ezra said.

I grabbed Ezra's hand.

"Lets go guys." I said

I tried to walk to the entrance of the building but Ezra didn't move.

"Ez?" I said.

"Oh sorry. I blacked out" Ezra said scratching the back of his neck.

"Ooooooooooooh Looks like someone's nervous about holding Maudie's hand." Ava said.

"N-no IM NOT." Ezra said.

"Okay thenn...." Ava said

"Guys lets just go." I said.

I didn't want Ezra to be in a uncomfortable position any longer.

"Oh By the way Ava, don't be afraid to hold Kyle's hand." I said.

Ava and Kyle blushed.

Kyle then grabbed Ava's hand.

What Kyle did got him and Ava blushing even more

"Don't make this uncomfortable for me and Ava, Maudie." Kyle mumbled.

I nodded my head with a contented smile.

Me and Ezra walked to the entrance together with Ava and Kyle trailing behind us.

Suddenly a big burly man stopped us.

"You kids can't come in." He said as he stopped us.

"But were the InBESTigators.." Ezra said.

"No buts." The man said crossing his arms.

"What he meant is that-" I said

Then i got distracted by someone

A young girl about our age, suddenly walked up to us

She had short wavy black hair, small brown eyes, thick eyebrows and was wearing a vintage outfit

She was just slightly taller than me.

"What's the problem here?" She asked in a thick Australian accent.

"Nothing Ma'am just 4 nosy kids trying to get in." The burly man said as he bowed down to her.

"Nosy kids huh." The mysterious girl said as she inspected us.

Then her eyes lit up.

"You guys are the InBESTigators right?" She asked.

"Yes!" We all said.

"I have heard so much of you guys from Hallen." She said.

"THE Hallen is talking about us?" Ava said.

"Yes, Hallen is really excited to meet you guys." The Mysterious girl said.

We all looked at each other with big smiles on our faces

We were too excited that we haven't done our introductions.

"Hi im Ma-" I started.

"Maudie Miller, the brains of the group, the one that solves nearly every case." The mysterious girl continued.

"Oh wow." I said.

"I did some research." She said proudly.

"Do you need us to introduce ourselves or not. Because you seem to know a lot." Ezra said.

"No need Ezra Banks." The mysterious girl said.

Wow.

This new girl knows who we are and what we do.

Plus she's so cool and mature

Focus Maudie, ask her for her name

"May i know whats your name, age and your position for Hallen's productions?" I asked as i pulled out my notebook from my bag.

Whatever her position was, it must be somewhere at the top.

She's so cool, plus the security guard BOWED DOWN to her.

"Im Harriet Harper, Im 14. I don't work here but I am Hallen's niece." Harriet said.

14?

She sound like she's 21

"Wow. and people treat you like your the boss." Ava said.

"I kinda am. I mean im not, but i helped Hallen get to where she is now. And she insisted i get the same treatment as her." Harriet said.

"Really? How did you help her?" I asked scribbling down notes.

Honestly i just wanna know Every. single. detail about her.

"Oh im kind of a child prodigy, when i was 7 i helped Hallen with starting her talk show and thought up of some smart business strategies." Harriet said.

"Wow thats so cool." Ava said.

"Yeah... Anyways, let's get inside. I'll give you guys a tour of the Talk show set." Harriet said.

"Wait but our interview with Hallen is in 10 minutes. Are you sure that's enough time for a tour?" I asked

"Oh did she not tell you guys that She postponed it 1 hour later than the original time." Harriet said.

"Wait i did not get that message." Ava said.

"Oh dear. Hallen must have forgotten to send it." Harriet said.

"So instead of 1.30 our interview is at 2.30?" I asked

"Your right." Harriet said.

"Awesome! we'd love to take a tour!" Ava said.

"Great let's get going." Harriet said.

Before she could move, i stopped her.

"Oh By the way Harriet, do you still work here?" I asked.

"I dont actually, i still want to have a normal childhood. I just like hanging around here. The people here are so nice." Harriet said.

Honestly, hanging around with people aged over 20 doesn't sound like a normal childhood..

Honestly, i would also like it very much.

Though i'm great where i am now

"Hanging around here? It must be paradise." Ezra said.

"Yeah it is. Anyways lets start the tour." She smiled

We all nodded and trailed behind her as she walked

Wow Harriet is Amazing

She's so smart and pretty.

Plus she's a child prodigy.

Its really a honor to meet her.

And she played a big part to get where Hallen is now
