Chapter 18: The O.G is Back in the O.C.

Hollywood Undead played their last show and spent their final days in Australia by trying to forget about the storm that was surely waiting for them back home. Eliese and Matty brushed the incident under the rug for now, although everyone on the floor heard them arguing and then the door slam shut. The four men noticed Matty holding a pack of ice against the left side of his face when they went to his hotel room but they didn't question it since it was none of their business. Eliese threw away the pregnancy tests and ignored the positive one. She told herself that it was a mistake because of the two negative tests. She didn't tell Matty about the positive pregnancy test. She was too mad at him to confront him about it. 'I'll do another test when we get high.' She kept telling herself. So, she steered clear of alcohol and cigarettes,and strenuous activities; such as punching Matty in the face, again.

When the group of six arrived at the airport that early afternoon, Emily and Nancy were there to greet them with helpful hands, welcoming smiles, and promises of home cooked meals. Matty and Eliese were so tired that they just wanted to go home and sleep, but it was only two o'clock in the afternoon and they couldn't screw up their sleeping patterns. While the rest of the band went home with their loved ones, Nancy came over with Emily eagerly wanting her mother's side. Emily missed her mom over the last week, she doesn't know how she'll survive the next six months without her mom. Eliese was excited for the next six months of tour, she enjoyed being away from home. She liked not having Emily to worry about, she liked the freedom of adulthood. But when Eliese saw Emily again she was reminded of why she returned home, that little girl is the only reason to come home time and time again.

Eliese promised Emily lots of pictures and some gifts so while Matty showered and Nancy cooked, Eliese sat on the couch showing her daughter the eventful week she had. Eliese showed Emily the pictures of the beach days, the hotel room, the view from the hotel room and some other pictures of Australia. Eliese gave Emily the small fabric bag that held all of the treasures she found on a beaches. Emily relished in the smell of a different ocean, a different sun and a different home on her mother's darkened skin.

Eliese was upset that Emily looked like she had been beaten up, there were bruises on her face, arms and legs as well as self defense wounds. Emily told her mom that some kinds ganged up on her at the park a couple of days ago. Eliese was gone for a week and Emily gets the snot beaten out of her. Nancy said that it was no use trying to go to the School about it because Emily refused to give up a name. Eliese was still outraged by this, she was more frustrated with Emily for not telling anyone who did this to her. Matty was frustrated as well, but he got a feeling that there was more to this story than what Emily was telling. He didn't know why she wasn't telling anyone about what happened, but he knew there was more information that she wasn't telling her mother. That thought worried Matty. Emily tells Eliese everything and for her to not tell Eliese anything is a bit worrying.

That afternoon was filled with cooked food, relaxing in the sun and forgetting about all the drama they hopefully left in Australia. Eliese's mom wanted to know what it was like on the other side of the world. Eliese had to remind her mom that Australia is eight hours across the ocean from California. But technically, Nancy wanted to know how their trip was. Matty and Eliese left out the part where Eliese thought she was pregnant, Matty practically called her a bad mother and she punched him in the face. Nancy sensed tension and coldness between the two of them. She didn't like it, not a single bit.

Nancy went home just before dinner since the family of three were going out to dinner with the rest of the band and their families. They went to a sushi place not too far away from the house. Emily thoroughly enjoyed the sushi while Eliese picked at her California roll. Matty noticed that from the other side of Emily. He refrained from saying anything though. The group talked about what's going to happen next since they couldn't get ahold of Aron to try and convince him to finish up touring. Eliese brought up the idea of getting their friend, Danny to finish up the tour and see where that goes. At first they didn't know if Danny would want to go on tour with them since he had a band already, and he's currently on American Idol. But the more they played with the idea, the more they seemed to agree with it. They were meeting with their tour manager in the morning so they'll offer that idea to him.
