The group of six arrived at their hotel in Sydney late at night after a long drive from the airport. Eliese had fallen asleep using Matty as a pillow, Matty had wrapped his arm around Eliese and let her use him comfortably. She was now awake but tired. Eliese and Matty shared a room, Dylan and Jorel shared and George and Charlie shared; those were the rooming buddies. It was strange for Eliese to be in a different country, she’s never left the U.S. She’s rarely left California, so going all the way to Australia was making her homesick, but not for home, for Emily. Eliese was sure if Emily were here she’d feel just fine. But it’s already costing a fair bit of money for her to be there, she couldn’t imagine taking Emily too. It wouldn’t be fair on the guys, this isn’t fair on the guys but Matty refused to leave her alone where she could be in any kind of danger.

Their tour manager was kind and got them checked into their hotel and retrieved their room keys; their rooms were on the eighth floor so they took the elevator. Six room keys were given out to them, but there was a seventh for Aron. The tour manager convinced the guys to finish touring before they made any final decisions. Eliese was less than thrilled about that but it is what it is and life goes on.

When Matty and Eliese got to their room Eliese immediately sighed and flopped down onto the bed tiredly. It was well after midnight and she was exhausted. Matty chuckled and set his suitcase down on the bed next to hers.

“How do you do it?” Eliese exclaimed in an exaggerated tone that made Matty laugh and shake his head as he placed his hands on his hips. He looked across the bed at Eliese and shrugged.

“You get used to it, I suppose.” He replied honestly. Matty was tired beyond belief but he knew he was going to be able to sleep soon, as soon as Eliese moves from the foot of the bed. But Matty didn’t get to rest when Eliese moved; there was a knock on the door a few minutes later. It was the guys, they wanted to hang out and “talk”. They had just gotten settled into their rooms before coming to invade Matty’s and Eliese’s room in hopes to squeeze out what their relationship was at now. Eliese had a feeling that she was going to be pinned emotionally so she did the only thing she knew how to do, run and hide.

“I’m going to go for a shower.” Eliese stated after digging her pyjamas out of the suitcase. She had her makeup bag at hand as well. She disappeared into the small but spacious bathroom and locked the door before making a shaky deep sigh. Eliese strongly disliked being emotionally vulnerable, she’s never showed any weakness until Emily was born. Emily was the only pressure point Eliese let people know about, but there were many others that people mistakenly hit daily. Eliese was never taught how to deal with emotional trauma so she runs and hides from it by physically leaving or getting defensive and getting into a fight.

“Are you going to tell us what’s going on with you and Eliese?” Charlie asked Matty when he heard the shower turn on. Matty knew the guys were catching onto his and Eliese’s private relationship; it wasn’t so private anymore though. He was positive he saw some fans take a picture of the two of them kissing in the airport in London when they were waiting for their connecting flight. Soon it’ll be all over the internet and Eliese won’t be able to deny it anymore. Deep down that’s what Matty wants to happen. Matty looked at his small group of friends and shrugged his shoulders.

“Depends on what you know.” Matty replied.

“We know you let her and Emily move in with you,” Charlie began, leaning back in the desk chair with a bottle of water in his grasp; it was too late to have a drink so he stuck to his water.

“You two are sharing a bed, at home and here, and while on tour.” Dylan added honestly from across the room.

“You’re helping her with her ex-boyfriend and Emily’s dad.” George said plainly from the foot of the bed.
