The next morning Eliese drove Matt to the airport, she waited inside with him until everybody was there then they said their good-byes. George was surprised that Eliese hadn't killed Matt after what happened yesterday. Asia sure ripped him a new one when they got home though. George told her he had to go out due to an emergency. Asia didn't hesitate to urge him to leave but now she wishes she did. Ava spent the night at a family friend's house. George had to call the tour manager to tell him what had happened, he then called the guys and informed them about the events. George had Charlie call Danny and tell him what was going on. Charlie followed that request with a late night phone call to Danny's house. Danny was new to all of this drama within the band; he knew that coming in so soon after they kicked their other singer out would stir the pot up a bit within their fan base. Danny listened to what Charlie said and asked if everyone was alright and if they're still going to the airport tomorrow, he didn't voice an opinion he only nodded along intently. Eliese was happy that Danny took up the part time position; he was a good human being with good singing capabilities. He'd add a newer, more different twist on the hardcore band. Some fans aren't going to like it, he's going to learn that very soon but some fans are going to love him, he's going to learn that sooner.

Eliese could still feel the lingering emotions of the night before rattling in her bones but she hugged and kissed Matt farewell then went to pick Emily up from her mom's. It was Easter Sunday so Eliese had a basket waiting for Emily at the house, filled with knick-knacks, candies and some other things. Emily already got an Easter basket from her Grandma but she was happy that she got one from her mom as well. That afternoon they went out for lunch and spent some time at the beach, before they headed to Matt's mom's house for Easter dinner. Emily wasn't as heartbroken as she thought she'd be when she didn't get to say good-bye to Matt at the airport, she knew he'd be back soon and there's no need to worry. By now Emily was used to Matt going away for long periods of time, at first she didn't know if he'd be back but then he came back. After that she was more comfortable with him leaving. Yes, she missed him, she missed all of them but she enjoyed seeing them play their music more than she liked him always being here. Being on tour is like taking a break from your home life and becoming someone different.

Matt sees it that way now too. At first he was worried about going away for long periods of time, he thought Emily would forget about him but she didn't and that made him a very happy man. He knew Emily was still too young to bring on European tours and the band was still in its early stages, but he wished he could bring her with him. He was excited though, by the time the band has established itself Genevieve might be old enough to come see them play. Those two little girls have him wrapped around their fingers like a pretty bow of forget-me-not. Matt knew that, Eliese knew that; everybody knew that.

Most of April was Eliese trying to get Emily used to not being the center of attention anymore, she did that by letting her go out with friends more often and be socially present. Eliese could see that she was holding Emily back because she was afraid Emily would end up like her, but Emily is smarter than that. Eliese knew that if she smothered Emily anymore Emily would rebel and end up just like her mom. A pregnant teenager. So, Eliese let go of the reigns a bit to let Emily be a kid while she is still a kid. Eliese attended some of Emily's volleyball games (when she wasn't working). And she even let Emily sign up for handball. Matt was missing his family like hell, he'd call when he could but he'd usually have to do it at ridiculous times of night (for him) to get both Emily and Eliese at home at the same time. He got them both a couple times. He was thrilled to hear Emily was doing well in School and she's joining the handball team. Matt told the guys and they announced that they'd be rooting for her every game she played.
