Eliese sat on the couch in the living room, twiddling her thumbs and worrying mercilessly. It's been two, almost three hours since she called George to stop Matt from doing something bad but now she's thinking something bad happened anyways. No way does it take this long for them to get to Aron's and back. It takes an hour at most. Why were they taking so long? Eliese has tried texting George and the guys but no one is answering their phones. It made her even more worried. She was now fourteen weeks pregnant with a stalker, a deadbeat father, a terrified ten year-old, a grown man who's having a hissy fit, and a man who's probably going to have a psychotic break sooner rather than later to deal with on top of working and bringing in an income for the four of them. She's feeling the pressure of adulthood weighing down on her now. She was used to a weight on her shoulders but she wasn't used to this much weight. Before it was just her and Emily, now she has a long list of things and people to worry about. Now she has this to worry about.

There was an even longer list of what ifs. What if Matt was in a car accident? What if Matt was beaten up badly by Aron and his friends? What if something happened to Matt and George on the way back?

What if?

What if?!

WHAT IF?!

Insanity was closer than sanity. Disappointment was closer than worry. Denial and acceptance were battling for the throne; it all comes down to the tie breaker of destiny. What really happened? Eliese will never know because Matt will never let her know even with George baring witness. Matt will make him swear not to Eliese about those events, all to protect the baby. But Eliese knows it's really to protect himself from her fury.

Emily sat on the floor watching some television to keep her mind off of what had happened earlier that day. But Emily was still sinking with guilt and shame. Eliese watched her daughter, sitting on the floor cross legged with her oval brown eyes plastered on the educational film Eliese put on. Bill Nye the Science Guy was a suitable show for Emily to watch. Eliese doesn't like her daughter watching brain rotting television all the time. Emily is only allowed to watch cartoons on Saturday mornings or when Matt's home while Eliese is at work. Eliese doesn't know Matt lets Emily watch whatever she wants while she's at work. Eliese only wants Emily watching educational shows, Eliese wants Emily to do well in School and go to College or University. She wants Emily to do much better in life than she did.

Eliese jumped when the house phone started ringing loudly on the arm of the couch beside her. Emily managed to pry her eyes off of the television screen and twist around to face her mother. Eliese plucked up the phone, looking at the caller ID. Her gut sank when she read it: Inglewood Police Department. She sighed and pressed the call button.

"Hello?" Eliese flatly greeted, waiting for her demise. She knew that she was going to be told that Matt was arrested for assault, probably with a deadly weapon.

"This is Sergeant Underwood from the Inglewood Police Department; is this Eliese St Claire?" A woman was on the other end of the phone, sitting at her desk in the small police department not too far from the house. Eliese sighed again and leaned back into the back of the couch.

"Yes, this is Eliese St Claire." Eliese pondered if she should've just said 'no it wasn't her; they were looking for a different woman.' But she knew deep down that she needed to rescue Matty and probably George as well.

"Ms. St Claire, do you know a Matthew Busek and a George Ragan?" The female officer asked curiously. She wonders if George had them call Asia. Asia would be pissed off and she'd probably tell him to get lost for the night, thus crashing on the couch at Matt's house. Eliese wanted to say 'no' but instead she said:
