I find myself outside before everyone else . I watch the cars pass and the world move on and I wonder why I can't do that ,why I can't seem to let go of someone that's already gone.
I spot Sydney leading August & Rosella to me and I can't help but wonder why I didn't listen to Dr Sahar ,maybe it has something to do with the person I see Rosella as and I don't want to change that image of her or maybe it's just that I'm not ready to hear what happened to her Either way I'll hear it from her when we're both ready
She's beautiful she really is
"So how are we going to do this?" I hear August ask from behind me . I turn and look at them I mean really look at them I conclude that they must be related "Um we could go to yours and pick up a few things so you can stay at my place." I answer "Why can't you just pack and come to ours it's much simpler?" August asks yet again "Cause I stay with my little sister and I only agreed to stay with Rosella." I tell him
He only nods as a response and I'm not really sure what it means . He walks to a car a really beautiful car . We all get in and it smells like sweets and wood I look in the back where Rosie sits and I ask her what her favorite smell is " Vanilla and candy " she replies , I find myself thinking of ways to make her comfortable "well I guess we have to go to target" I say out loud making sure he heard me "Target is not in my plans luliana" August says . I look at him for what felt like the millionth time today "You're in luck cause I don't believe in plans or schedules" a total lie considering my whole life is run by a schedule pinned in my room. He chuckles for the first time and I am mesmerized "I highly doubt that" he says
I suddenly remember he was on the train with me but he has a car
"I had someone drive Rosella cause I was running late, guess I wasn't the only one" he says as though he read my mind
We finally stop at target , we get out and I feel someone hold my hand ever so delicately I know it Rosella I turn and offer her a smile but she looks scared at the amount of people here , I squeeze her hand remembering how Asia used to squeeze mine whenever I was scared We walk aisle after aisle dumping whatever into the trolley(Idk what people call it but where is from it's a trolley🛒) When we're done it's full and we go to self checkout We finally leave and I pull Rosie and she gets in the trolley I start pushing her and we laugh I look back and see August smile I guess it's been a while since she laughed
We get back on the road and Rosella falls asleep August looks at me "thank you" he says andI already know what he means he doesn't need to say anything else , I nod and turn up the music on the radio I didn't know this bit this was the first Splendid day.
