san's pov

Though San had been busy to keep up with his work he still had noticed the little stares from the guy he'd spilled his coffee on a week ago.
From time to time he gave him short looks no certain expression on his face, it stayed emotionless.
San had kept on watching him during the time he and his friend had stayed, meeting his eyes several times only to act like nothing happened, going on with his work just to look again when the stranger's attention has moved away from him.

San had felt weird the entire time, it wasn't the feeling of being uncomfortable though, he found the attention the guy gave him entertaining but he couldn't tell what was going on in the brunette guy's mind at all. And it was irritating for him but made him curious at the same time.
Normally San hated it when people stared at him or when he got a lot of attention, he was a rather shy person, resulting in him wondering now why he kind of enjoyed the guy's stares.
And after a while even Jongho had noticed them and walked over to his side.

"Why does this guy keep looking over to you?" he'd mumbled. San gave him an awkward smile.
"Remember the guy I told you about about a week ago?" San spoke while he started cleaning the dishes. "San, do you seriously think that I remember every guy you're telling me about?" Jongho answered with a slightly sarcastic undertone. Just slightly.
San rolled his eyes. "The one I spilled the coffee on." he added. "Ah, yeah...wait-" Jongho raised his eyebrows. "Hyung, are you seriously trying to tell me, that that exact guy, from the incident you felt so incredibly guilty about is now sitting in this coffee shop calmly sipping his coffee while passive aggressively stalking you?"
"Well... yeah?" San answered with a rather helpless smile
Jongho went silent and stared San in his dark eyes for a few long moments until he shrugged his shoulders. "My shift is over in a few minutes, hopefully Yunho shows up in time..." he stated and went on with what he was doing before.

San chuckled and kept on washing the dishes. Though really short after he got distracted as someone in front of him cleared his throat. When San looked up he saw the coffee stranger standing there awkwardly. In his hands he held the cups and plates San had given them before struggling to not let them fall to the ground. "Uhm..." he started.
Quick San grabbed them carefully and placed them near the sink.
"Oh, thank you for bringing them..."
The coffee stranger gave him a weird smile.
Gosh, this is so awkward. San thought to himself.

They both just stared at each other for a moment not doing anything. In the corner of his eye San noticed the friend of the other staring at them confused until he rolled his eyes and shoved himself between to the two. „We would like to pay." he stated. „Right?" he went on and interrupted the weird staring contest his friend and San were having.
„Yes, exactly, sorry." The coffee guy chuckled slightly embarrassed.
„Yeah, sure, one second..." San gave them a kind smile and got their receipt.

After the friend had payed for their coffees he said a polite goodbye to San and started walking towards the door while the other guy took a few steps just to stop and turn around to San again.
He smiled warmly at him before starting to speak.

„I loved the chocolate cake, thank you..."

With that he quickly run out to follow his friend who was waiting for him outside impatiently.

San didn't say or think anything for a while. His eyes were fixated on the spot outside of the shop from where they had walked away and left.
As he repeated the words the guy had told him over and over again in his head he felt his cheeks burn slightly and started smiling.
But this weird flustering feeling he felt was interrupted by the bell at the door ringing once again and an annoyed Yunho who entered to work the next shift with San.
