I Found Love (Valgrace)

Chapter Six

Leo's P.O.V

I walked through the camp entrance. I guess Festus must've alarmed someone since a figure came rushing at me. It was Chiron, going as fast as he could which was pretty fast. He took one good look at me and realized who I was. 

"Leo?"

I nodded. "Sorry, I got here so early, I would've waited but-"

"How are you here? How are you alive?"

I shrugged. "Magic, I guess."

Another figure came out behind him. 

"Who in the world would come in here at this ungodly hour?" They yawned. Then like Chiron, they took one good look at me and we both knew who each other were. It was Piper. 

Tears gathered in her ever-changing eyes. "L-Leo? Is that you?"

I nodded, smiling, tears in my eyes too. "Yeah, Pipes, it's me."

She ran toward me and hugged me so hard, I thought my lungs would collapse from inside me from the suffocation. 

When she let me go, I asked, "Where's Jason? Is he at Camp Jupiter?"

"No, I'll go get him, he'll be so happy to see you!" She smiled widely and raced off. Has he been waiting for me to come back? No, that can't be the reason. He probably stayed here because of Piper. 

As soon as Piper left, another figure took her place. Oh, come on. 

"Why do I sense someone dead here?" It's Nico, of course it is. Only he would say that. 

"That would not be me," I said. 

Nico's eyes widened. "H-How? You're dead? I felt it! How are you here?!"

"Well, hello to you too," I said, rolling my eyes. 

Nico ran a hand through his dark hair. "Sorry, but how are you living?" I don't think he was able to find better words for that so I didn't judge. 

I shrugged. "Like I said, magic."

Nico sighed. 

I heard my name being shouted. I turned around to see Jason running toward me, tears in his blue eyes. I ran toward him, feeling tears again. We hugged each other tightly and started to cry. I never wanted to let him go, never again. 

"I-I thought...I thought I'd never see you again," he said softly, voice breaking. 

"Don't worry, Jay, you can't get rid of me that easily," I whispered. 

"I'm just so happy you're back a-and..." I could tell he was trying not to cry more. "And alive."

"Sorry to break up the moment," Nico interrupted. "But it's currently 4am and I'd like to get as much sleep as possible and I'm guessing you all probably do too."

Jason released me. Wiping the tears out of his eyes as I did the same.

He yawned, "Yeah, I need more sleep."

"I don't want to disturb any of my siblings, so where can I stay for the rest of the morning?" I asked. I was looking directly at him and I'm sure everyone knew why; I wanted to stay with him out of everyone else in this camp. 

"Well, the rest of us have siblings," Piper said. "Except Nico but I doubt he'd even let you come into his cabin," she said, glaring at Nico. "So I volunteer Jason."

Nico nodded in agreement. 

"Well, I don't see why not," Chiron approved. "Now, everyone go back to your cabins and sleep."

There was a bit of silence between Jason and I as we walked to my cabin.

"S-So, how was your trip back?" Jason asked.

"Tiring."

"That's it? You didn't do anything?"

"Not really. Just traveled as fast as I could to get back here."

"You really missed this place, huh?"

"Yeah, I missed the campers too..."

"Anyone in particular?"

"Mm, I guess so. My friends, really."

That was the end of that conversation as we got to the door.

"There's a spare bed," Jason said. "You can stay in it if you want."

"What if I don't want to?"  

"You can sleep on the floor?"

I rolled my eyes. "No, I'm not sleeping on the floor."

"I'm guessing you want to sleep in my bed?"

"Yep."

There was more silence between us. Maybe that wasn't the right thing for me to say. After all, he is my best friend and best friends don't sleep in the same bed beside each other, right?
