(Y/N POV)
"Culling games? Do I really have to compete in this?" I asked Megumi as he folded his arms. "Please (Y/N), I want to keep Tsumiki out of harms way..."
I gave him a small smile making him blush. "If this is for your sister, I'll help. I couldn't imagine losing Noritoshi."
Giving me one of his rare smiles he sat at the table as I passed him some coffee.
"So..." He started making me glance up from my cup. "How are you and Zenin-senpai?"
Placing the cup on the table I sighed. "I dont really know, she hasn't spoken to me since....well, you know."
"I see, so she hasn't told you anything?" Megumi asked. I shook my head no and he sighed.
"All I know is that Mai died in there, anything else is above me. What happened Megumi, I know you know more than your letting on."
He placed his cup down and stretched. "Maki should be the one to tell you." He stood up and excused himself leaving me to my thoughts.
What should I do, she wont even look at me. And when she does its for a second...
I opened my window to get some fresh air.
What the hell happened in there for Mai to die?
My train of thought was cut when I winced at my breathing. I was still hurt from Shibuya and that wasn't ending soon. I decided to lie down in bed and play on my phone.
I heard someone messing with the handle so I automatically pretended to be asleep not wanting to be bothered. The person came in and silently closed the door back before it got quiet again.
Whoever it was they just stood there, watching.
I cringed at the thought of someone actually watching me "sleep". I rolled over to see Maki standing there with her arms crossed.
"Maki?" She looked up at me then left my room without saying a word. I sat up and frowned, my girlfriend was avoiding me and I didn't know why.
I get that she's grieving but so am I and its rough not talking to her.
The next day I woke up extra early to see if I could catch her training, but of course she's one step ahead. I searched high and low for her but she was nowhere to be found.
At this point I wasn't really interested in what happened, but why she's hiding from me.
Problem is that I went from seeing her occasionally to not at all.
"Maybe she's gonna dump you?" Yuji said swallowing his food and I gave Panda some of mine. Megumi yanked his ear making him whine.
"Ignore him (Y/N), Zenin-senpai isn't going to break up with you. She loves you too much." Megumi sighed.
"He's right (Y/N), Maki is just sorting out her demons. You're probably the only thing right now that's keeping her sane."
"I know that Panda, but she's making it so hard to be there for her." I mumbled rubbing his head.
"Hmm, maybe I could talk to her." Panda yawned. "If she wont talk to (Y/N), what makes you think she'll talk to you idiot?" Megumi grumbled.
"Dont get cocky because you're clan head now Megumi..." Panda barked back.
I looked at him furrowing my eyebrows. "Since when did you become clan head?" "When the clan head died in Shibuya."
"Got it." I said. After, we continued making preparations for the games. "So if I don't compete, I'll lose my techniques right?" I asked.
