What It Means To Be a Sorcerer

Being resurrected is tiresome. (Y/N) snored loudly hugging her pillow. She giggled and drooled, probably having one of the best dreams of her life.

(Y/N POV)
-in (Y/N)'s dream-
"Toge isnt this nice?" I asked as we made sandcastles on the beach. "Salmon!" I giggled at his comment listening to the waves crashing. "Uh guys, can you come dig me up the tides coming in!" Panda begged. "We're coming!" I yelled as me and Toge stood up. We ran over and began digging him up until the ground started shaking. "Hurry up...she's coming!" Panda yelled. "TUNA TUNA!" Toge said pointing as the shaking got more violent. I turned around, "MAKI!?" "STOP SLACKING!" She slammed her staff down onto us....

I sat up and gasped looking around my room, it was 1:00 a.m. I looked over and noticed my phone was vibrating, I picked it up noticing it was Mai.

"Hello?" I asked yawning and rubbing my eyes. "What are you doing?" She asked. "Well I was sleepi-" "Yeah yeah thats nice, you should come over." I raised a eyebrow at her remark. "Mai its 1:00 in the morning, it'll take me two hours to get there from here." I began stretching. "Well you better start making your way to the train station." She said causing me to groan. I grabbed the bridge of my nose, "Fine, I'll be there as soon as possible. But you know I cant stay all night or I'll be in trouble." She simply giggled and I hung up.

I threw on some socks, slippers, and a hoodie and made my way into the hall. As I closed my door a felt a hand on my shoulder causing me to jump, "Kugisaki! What the hell are you doing?!" I whispered. "I could ask you the same thing." She scanned me up and down, "you're trying to sneak back to Kyoto arent you?" I didn't bother trying to lie because knowing her she'd follow me. "Yes, just for a few hours. Dont tell the Gojo sensei." I begged rising off the floor. "I dont know (Y/N), I might need some hush money." She grinned.

"Alright alright. After my training today I'll take you shopping, deal?" "Deal." We shook on it. She made her way back to her room and I went the opposite way. I crept through the hall and noticed that Maki's door. Out of curiosity I cracked it open to see her sleeping, her glasses on her nightstand. I subconsciously smiled as I quietly close the door back. Once I was off the premises I started walking to the train station.

When I got there I got on and started playing with my phone. When I finally got to the station I got off and looked around. I pulled out my phone and texted Mai.

Me-
Where are you?

I started walking to the school enjoying the night air until my phone buzzed.

We're in Momo's room, come through her window when you get here.

I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket. When I finally got to the school I jumped on the roof and walked on top until I saw a lit room. I leaned over looking into the room to see them eating in her room. I opened the window and pulled myself in causing Momo and Miwa to scream. "Guys relax its me!" I said trying to shush them but it was too late. I heard footsteps and im guessing they did too because Mai slammed the window on down on my fingers causing me to yelp and fall.

As I layed in the bush I heard Todo. "Whats going on! I heard screaming, is everything alright in here?" He asked and I huffed. "I knew I shouldn't have came..." I whispered. "WILL YOU GET OUT OF HERE!" Mai yelled. Five minutes later I heard the window re-open to see Mai looking down at me, "You can come up now loser!" She laughed. I dusted myself off and climbed back into the room hitting the floor. "(Y/N), you aren't supposed to be back yet." Miwa said helping me up. "She just couldn't stay away from me~" Mai said causing me to roll my eyes.

"You know (Y/N), you had us all worried with your "death" Miwa said hugging me. "Shes right, that wasn't lady like at all." Momo chimed in and I sighed. "It wasnt my fault, it was all Gojo sensei's idea." I noted grabbing some ramen off the table. "Thats mine (Y/N)." Mai said. "Fuck off, its the least you can let me have for making me come here at 3:00 in the morning." I told her exaggerating my slurping causing her to get triggered. "You really piss me off." She said sitting down. I giggled "you know you love me Mai." I poked her cheek making her blush.

We all talked about random things for another hour until Miwa started yawning. "Im going to head to bed, goodnight you all." She said standing up and waving. I waved back as Momo and Mai stood up doing the same. As the told each other goodnight I continued eating the ramen. Mai came back and dragged me into her room, I looked at her puzzled and she gave me a innocent look. "You're already here, you might as well go to sleep with me~" I snorted at her comment sitting on the edge of the bed.

She wrapped her arms around me, "Come on (Y/N), just until I fall asleep." She said. I sighed. "Fine, just until you go to sleep, then im out of here." I said making her get off of me so I could lie down. I pulled the blankets back making myself comfortable as I rolled on my side facing Mai. We stared at each other until she broke the silence, "Lets run away together." "What?" It caught me off guard that she would even say something like that. I giggled, "Sure. Lets go to Hawaii, thats where me and Gojo sensei went while I was gone."

She put her index finger on my head, "Im serious. We can leave right now." She said. It was rare seeing Mai like this, it was like a two dollar bill type of thing. Once you get one you cherish it forever. "Mai, you know I cant do that." "Why not?!" She shouted. "Mai keep your voice down!" I whispered at her. "I cant, I have to become stronger than Jr., thats why im a sorcerer in the first place." I said making her frown. "You're so fucking stupid..." I frowned back, "Maybe I should go..." I said sitting up.

"Yeah... leave me like she did." She said. "Mai..." "You think I wanted to be a sorcerer? I had no choice..." she said. I sighed and held her close. "She left me... and I had no one!" I put my chin on her head and began to rock her. "Its ok Mai, im here." I said trying to reassure her but that seemed to make her even more upset. "But for how long?" She asked. "What do you mean, im always been here." I said. She shook her head, "You've been gone for 3 weeks (Y/N)... and you've been with Maki...you'll leave me just as she did."

"Shut the hell up will you?" I said flicking her forehead. "Maki has nothing to do with me and you. Im pretty sure she doesn't even care that you and I are friends. But one thing I wont allow you to do is to talk bad about her." I said laying us down. "I'll always be here for you, no matter what." I said smiling. She frowned pinching my nose, "If I needed a fucking therapist I would've spoken to Todo." She let go and I closed my eyes. I opened one of them to see her snuggling up to my chest. She grabbed one of my arms and wrapped it around her. I looked down at her "what the hell are you staring at?" I just closed my eyes again and relaxed.

I felt a light hitting my eyes causing me to throw my arm over them. I felt my phone vibrating again to see that my alarm was going off. I pushed Mai off me gently before turning my alarm off. 6:00 o'clock. I stood up stretching before looking back at Mai's sleeping figure. I shook my head, "fucking troublemaker..." I grumbled. I left a note telling her I was gone and I went to Momo's room. "About to leave?" She asked yawning. "Yeah... can I use your broom?" I asked. She narrowed her eyes at me, "I'll give you a ride back." "But how, there's only room for one person?" She only grinned at me.

"MOMO DONT LET ME DIE!" I screamed holding on to the back of her broom. "You better not let go then!" She yelled. Once the school was in sight I let go, "SEE YA MOMO!" I said falling out the sky. She waved before flying off. I snuck back into my room and began to get ready only to hear a knock on the door. "Morning (Y/N), you're up early." Panda said with Maki and Toge behind him. "She must be ready to lose today." Maki teased. "Whatever."

As the day went on Gojo sensei came and told me that Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara were going on a mission but I didn't need to be included this time. "Thank God, back to back missions are not it." I said in relief. "You guys be careful out there." I said. "We'll be fine (Y/N) dont worry!" Yuji said giving me a thumbs up. "Yeah dont doubt us, and remember our deal (Y/N)." "Ok Kugisaki I get it." I said making her smile. I waved as they left. "Now then, lets start your training shall we?" I turned to see Maki smirking. "You're on!"

I was out of breath panting and sweating. "You're getting better but you need to focus, get your head out of the clouds." She said. I laughed making her shake her head. I walked off to find the others sitting on the stairs until I noticed Yuji was missing. "Hey guys, how'd it go?" I asked. "Itadori died..."  "What?"
