Aaron's pov

She lifted her head after a few minutes and stumbled, missing the railing and scaring me half to death thinking she was going to fall. "Careful, you have to walk slowly or you're going to hurt yourself." I said in a worried voice. She didn't seem to care, sending me a sad smile, "would that be so bad?"

I didn't know what to say, she doesn't seem to have any regard for her own well being. This Lily chick really did a number on her.

"Come on, you need some coffee and rest." I said somberly. She laughed a little at the notion of rest, I'm not sure why it was funny though.

Thea's pov

We made our way downstairs and Aaron guided me, holding my waist so I didn't fall. My eyes locked on Owen and he gave me a worried look, walking over to meet me at the end of the stairs.

"BABEE, I mis-ssed you!" I slurred. He looked at me with pitiful eyes and a dry laugh. "Aw Thea you missed me that much-" he smiled but I could tell he was worried, I loved that about him "-I heard you looked hot tonight and had to see what all the hype was about." He winked, even though I knew Wren probably made him look for me.

"And who's this?" He motioned towards the man holding me steady. "Oh umm...this is uh," how the hell did I forget his name so quickly?
"Aaron-" he held out a hand and Owen peered down at it suspiciously, "-Aaron Hastings."

The boys both shook hands as Aaron continued. "I didn't know you two were-" he pointed between Owen and I. "Oh honey no if anything, I'm more into you than I am into her if you know what I mean." He winked at Aaron and I couldn't help but laugh. Though Owen was definitely out and proud, he didn't fit the stereotype and looked more like a straight than anything else.

Aaron looked flattered but uncomfortable with the conversation so I decided to jump in, "he's um giving me a ride home tonight s-so tell Wren and Kate n-not to worry, I'm with water boy." I said with a small smile and looked up at him.

Owen looked at me seriously and asked, "are you sure?" And I nodded, "thanks for a good time babe, I love you," he just shot me a warm smile and pulled me into a hug. He brought his head close to my ear and whispered, "you're going to be okay soon Thea just hang in there okay?" And with a kiss on the cheek he looked at me again. I nodded and squeezed his hand appreciatively.

I let go and we made our way towards the front door, the guys that were betting on me earlier cheered and passed me a water. High praise for someone who's only been drunk twice before. My sister was the drinker, always the life of the party, always everybody's favorite. I think they forget I'm not her but I don't really care.

I was so close to reaching the door unscathed when a group of girls in skimpy clothes whispered a little too loudly as I walked by. "What a slut, she's gonna go sleeping around just like her sister." One of them said I tried my hardest to ignore it but even my inebriated brain couldn't block it out.

It hurt, to hear people talk about her like that. I knew my sister was a virgin and only had one boyfriend in her 18 years of living. I think these brats just couldn't handle that she was a naturally beautiful girl, that guys were simply attracted too. Not her fault their boyfriends can't keep it in their pants.

I felt a hand around my waist pull me closer, a small smile graced my lips as I thought how funny it was that Aaron thought he could shield me from the mentions of my sister.

Once we got to the car, he opened the passenger door and clipped my seat belt for me. I couldn't help but stare at his face as he helped me in, he glanced at me and smiled. "What? You can stand to look at me now?" He said. "Well I mean I need to be able to pick you out of a line up if you end up kidnapping me," I smiled back. He just laughed and held my eyes
in his gaze.
