"Aap kon hai ? Yahan kya kar rahe hain. Inke rishtedaar hain kya ? "

Batuk Roy Chaudhary stood there , nervousness clouding over him. The scissors enclasped in his hand behind him.

"Acche samay pe aaye hain. Ek khush khabri hai. Bondita ji maa banne wali hain"

Batuk was now speechless , feeling various emotions at once. Hatred for Bondita and love for his Dada's child.

He forwarded his hand to her lower abdomen in an attempt to feel the new life growing. Just as ot was about to touch the lower abdomen his hatred resurfaced and he pulled his hand back.

"Inhe nadi mai dubne ki wajah se bohot bada sadma laga hain. Ab inhe ek aur aisi hi ghatna se guzarne nahi dena hai. Yeh bacche ke liye hanikarak hoga "

Batuk silently just nodded at his words making a plan for revenge of his brother's death.

Here , Bondita was regaining consciousness. She was feeling a bit dizzy and was having difficulty in sitting up straight.

Doctors had conveyed her the news of being pregnant. She was on the top of the world. Her hand at that very instant went over her lower abdomen.

Remembering her mother and Pati Babu. Her Pati babu

"Doctor , Pati Babu theek toh hai na ? Unhe kuch hua toh nahi na. Mujhe dekhna hai unhe. Kahan hai woh? "

Batuk disguised as Anirudh came into the room at that point and helped her sit straight.

"Pati Babu...a..aap Baba "

In a newfound Adrenaline rush , she was unable to form sentence.

"Aap Baba banne wale hai "

As she said a tear rolled down her eyes and soon she was crying happy tears.

Batuk leaned in to give her a hug to comfort her. She rested her head on her chest. She closed her eyes to find the sukoon she always gets in his arms but found none.

Seed of doubt was now grounded in her brain.

"Kaka Sasur ji ko bataya aapne ? "

Bondita questioned anticipating his response.

"Nahi Bondita , woh socha ki saath mai hi batayenge toh unhe accha lagega "

"Accha socha aapne. Aap khush toh hai na ?"

She asked again trying to find happiness on his face. He seemed expressionless. He did not had the glow of a man who just found out that he was going to be a father.

She shrugged off the thought as overthinking.

After three days of care at the emergency camp , they were back at the Haveli. The haveli was lit up bright. When Kaka visited them at camp to take them back , they broke the news to him. He was over the moon thinking of his grandchild.

"Koyali , Bahu ka khaas dhyan ab tumko hi rakhna hai kyunki Sumati Behen toh hai nahi abhi "

Bondita was feeling like she was missing something but could not point out what was it.

She was lost in her thoughts when they reached Anirudh's room.

It was decorated with his baby pictures. Pictures of pregnant Shubra Maa and a cute cradle with lots of toys. There cupboard also had a small section where his baby clothes were kept. She smiled seeing the efforts of the family members.

"Bondita tu khadi kya hai baith ja na "

She turned and found Sampoorna Maa there. She giggled seeing her roam here and there for her and then it clicked her.
