"Mishti , I don't love you. I don't love anybody. Kaka ne Waise bhi mere liye koi dhundh rakha hai toh agar mujhe tumse pyar hota bhi toh bhi main apne Kaka ke khilaf nahi jaata "
"Aniruddh inspiration zaroor hain mere par mai unki tarah nahi lad sakta samaj ke khilaf. I am a family man "
"Mishti ye pyaar nahi hai , sirf attraction hai. Tum sirf 18 saal ki ho. You deserve better Mishti "
Oporichita was a crying mess now. The rain not clearly helping to hide her tears. She could physically feel her heart break and fall into the places she could never reach to pick it up.
She was just staring in his eyes trying to find the lie in the words he was saying but none. Because he was not lying. He clearly did not love anyone.
"Me...mera pya...pyaar nahi hai. Tum aisa kaise keh sakte ho Batuk ? Kuch jante bhi ho pyaar ke baare main. Maine nahi socha tha ki apne zindagi ke pehle pyaar mai hi zindagi bhar ka pyaar ho jaega. "
"Aur Mishti , tum aise Boudi ki tarah kyun taiyar ho. Tumhe kya laga unke jaise kapde pehnogi toh mujhe pyaar ho jaega tumse "
Now her eyes were burning from holding the tears , she just closed her eyes and tears fell down her eyes ruining the makeup her Bondita Boudi did.
"Mishti nahi "
She announced taking a step back.
"Mishti nahi , Oporichita hi theek hai. Maine nahi kaha tha Boudi se ki mujhe taiyar kare. Boudi ki dikhta hai mera pyaar. Infact tumhare alawa sabko Dikhta hai "
"Haan hun main 18 saal , I am just a kid. You will find someone way better than me. Who would be prettier. Mujh jaise daag mahi honge uspar. Par kya mujh jaisa pyaar kar paegi ? "
"Par koi baat nahi Lochan Kaka ki pasand hain na toh acchi hi hogi "
Saying this she walked off the terrace and ran to her room.
Here , Somnath was crossing the terrace when he heard the conversation.
His worst fears were true. Batuk did not accept her love. All he wanted was to slap him and knock some sense into his brain.
But Swabhagyawati knew better.
"Batuk , andar aa jao nahi toh thand lag jaegi. Kal office bhi toh jaana hai tumne "
Batuk closed his eyes as warm tears gushed out and nodded silently.
On the other hand Oporichita closed her room's door.
She slid down the door and cried hysterically
"BABA......BA....BA"
She threw her jewellery in frustration ans slept after much of exhaustion.
She woke up to the sound of Bondita doping the morning aarti. She quickly got up and got dressed in her usual way.

Oporichita came down the stairs with a subtle smile.
Bondita could just clearly see her swollen red eyes giving away the she had been crying whole night.
"Boudi , mujhe Lochan Kaka se kuch baat karni thi "
"Kaka sasur ji aate hi honge toh kar lena. Abhi woh Ramayan ka paath padh rahe hai. Toh usme unhe koi pareshan kare unhe pasand nahi "
"Theek hai Boudi , laiye aapki madad kar deti hun mai "
Bondita brought her hand to her cheeks and stroked it lovingly.
"Kisse chupa rahi ho apne aansu "
Oporichita held her hand between hers and shook her head.
"Mai kyun rone lagi bhala. Oporichita aise hi nahi roti "
"Accha chal chod. Taiyaar hoja college bhi toh jaana hai na. Batuk chhod dega "
"Nahi "
She almost screamed.
"Mera matlab hai ki woh meri dost aane wali hai aaj toh mai usi ke saath chali jaungi "
Just then Trilochan Kaka walked in.
"Suprabhat Kaka Sasur ji "
"Suprabhat Lochan Kaka "
"Jeete raho bahu , Suprabhat beta "
"Lochan kaka mujhe kuch kehna tha ? "
"Haan na beta kaho "
"Woh Baba kab aa rahe hain ? Ab baba ki yaad aa rahi hai "
"Abhi toh unhe aane mai 2 mahine toh hain hi beta "
"Theek hai kaka "
She gave a smile and went to the kitchen.

Everybody sat on the table for breakfast while Oporichita was serving the food.
She noticed that Batuk was nowhere to be seen. And he walked through the main door drunk. His hair was shabby and shirt was messed up.
He was not able to walk.
Oporichita felt her heart break again. Her confession made him drink. She closed her eyes and took deep breath.

To Batuk , Oporichita looked more beautiful than ever. Or maybe he never noticed her.
The way she smiles and her teeth doesn't show. Or how she puts flowers in her braid everyday. Or even the little Bindi between her eyebrows. How blue colour suits her. And the she wore only one anklet because the second one was with him.
Trilochan Kaka was very angry on him and had soaked him with Gangajal. He then retired to his room to freshen up and sleep the day off.
Oporichita came when he was asleep with Nimbu Paani in her hand. She kept it on the side table and was lost for quite some time in his serene sleeping face.
Her Somu dada did confront her about what happened. The big brother she always craved for. She did hug him and broke down just for a little while.
Wiping off her tears , she passed a smile and took her leave.
