Chapter !( - Battle of the Guns-

He opened his eyes and saw that no scratch was found on his body. “W-what… was t-that?”

The girl smiled for a second and turned her back at him. “You passed, Kino. Welcome to the game… And I hope you come out alive.” She took a glance at him and finally left him dumbfounded. As she went out a guy bumped her.

“Mac…” she looked at him. “Soul…”

 

“Hey Mirai wai—“ then Kino saw Soul.

“What are you doing with him… in that room?” Soul seemed to be irritated.

“What do you think? What does a man and a woman doing ALONE in one ABANDONED ROOM?” Kino emphasizes the words making Soul to be more irritated. Mirai just shook her head and left them fighting. Mirai got hungry so she approached a food stall and ordered a meal. As she got her order she sat down one of the tables.

“Enjoying the game?” nagulat si Mirai sa biglang pag-upo ng isang lalaking hindi niya naman kakilala. “If you’re thinking that I’m gonna play fairly then you’re wrong.”

 

“What are you planning? What is this game for?” she whispered but the man can still hear it.

“Simple... We want revenge.” Then he immediately stood up. Mirai followed him but he was too fast that he just faded into the sea of people within the school grounds. She sighed. Why is her life so complicated like hell?! She gone back to the table and saw a kid eating her meal.

“Hey kid! That’s mine.” She said calmly.

“I’m hungry, ate.” The kid said.

She heaved a sigh. “Okay… you can have it. Where’s your parents anyway?” napakibit balikat na lang ang bata.

“Nahiwalay ka ba sa kanila?” tumango ang bata habang iniinom juice niya. Then her phone suddenly rang. Sinagot naman niya ito. “Roger…”

 

“Ma’am… Big trouble.” Bungad ni Rico.

“What?”

 

“Nakatakas ang 5 sa criminal sa Jail district seven. Ayon sa report may kasabwat sila mula sa labas at nagawang takutin ang ating mga police men kaya nakatakas ang 5.” Napamura si Mirai. Bakit ngayon pa? Ang galing talaga ng timing ng mundo.

“Anong rank ng criminals na yan? What case I mean.” Napasabunot si Mirai sa buhok niya.

“Lahat sila mga murderer.” Napalunok si Mirai. “Nag-assign na ko ng dalawang squad para hanapin yung limang yun.”

 

“Tsk. Ihatid mo sakin ang background ng limang yun at yung natanggap natin kopya ng psychiatric test nila.” Si Mirai kasi ang taong strategy first bago umatake. At once na may mga nakatakas na mga criminal sa kanya ay binibigay muna sa kanya ang mga background at psychiatric test sa kanya para malaman niya kung papaano sila mag-isip. Kadalasan naman ay nahahanap naman nila dahil sa panghuhula ni Mirai kung saan sila maaaring magtago. Her skills are so advance making almost everyone fear her. Her way of thinking is out of the ordinary.
