- being a first time parent isn't always as exciting as it seems, and jongho is feeling the effects.

Jongho sat comfortably watching tv with his hand against his big baby belly, rubbing it subconsciously while fiddling with the ring that adorned his finger. He'd gotten so used to it being there, he couldn't remember a time where the silver item wasn't clung to the digit. However, he wasn't actually watching the tv or paying attention to all the moving images that he could just about make out infront of him. He was more just, lost in thought while staring at the colored screen, like it was just background noise. His mind was running utterly wild, he was going mad out of his poor wits.

About what you may ask?

About the little baby inside of him.

The unborn child was moving around a little bit from being previously disturbed during the day, kicking or nudging against Jongho's hand that was simply rested against the belly every now and again but their feet could barely even reach since they were sitting so much lower now and were getting ready to come as they were in position.

He felt it was a lot more uncomfortable to sit now that the baby's head was pressing against the bottom half of his belly, but he made do and dealt with it because he didn't want to bother anyone.

He rarely ever complained about being uncomfortable.

He never wanted to bother san about his problems, even though he had a lot to worry about nearing the end of his pregnancy, and even with that thought in the back of his mind that he knew San wouldn't mind, he still worked to avoid confessing his feelings. For starters, he would soon be giving birth to the baby he had been carrying for nine whole months, which meant he would deal with a lot of pain to bring them here. He was terrified of the pain of actual labor itself, and also just delivering the baby, even though the midwife had cleared up a lot of his questions and promised to give him the epidural and even gave him the idea of having a water birth since it calms the muscles a lot more; he was still afraid of the pain. He had heard so many stories of people passing after delivering their baby, or had tore from pushing out the head which resulted in them needing stitches.

He had also heard about people passing out during actual delivery and also throwing up because of the pain, and quite frankly he didn't want to deal with any more vomiting during his pregnancy. 

Especially at the end.

And, regardless if the birth went well or not; there was still so much to worry about. One problem would be not bonding with the baby when they arrive. It is said the most important moment for a baby is that skin to skin contact with their mother and father, and Jongho worried that he couldn't bond properly with the baby for whatever reason. or, another problem would be the baby not taking to him when it came to nursing or feeding time. Most people say mothers can bond with their children if they breastfeed, but sometimes the baby doesn't quite take to their mother. Ye was terrified that his baby wouldn't want him, and would reject him as their mother.

He was always worrying about this when he started to reach the end of his pregnancy.

He sighed, looking down to his belly as it shifted ever so slightly. He rubbed it gently, a lump forming in his throat as he blinked away tears.

Luckily, he heard the front door open and he realized that his husband was finally home who could finally take his mind off of his worries.

"Jongho, I'm home love! I got groceries, where are you?"

"I'm in the bedroom." Jongho replied, "Just like always.." He sighed under his breath, sitting up a bit against the pillows which were propped up against the headboard that san had put there for him earlier that day since he was on bed rest now he was about to burst.
