Me and Ryan played well together. He had a huge knowledge with most movies, however now was a genre of movies that I extensive knowledge of...Romantic movies. I know how fucking cliché of me right? The loser girl who doesn't fucking date anyone constantly consistently watching romance...pathetic, I know.
"Okay for 500 points and the winning points, what was the saying in Little Black Book that ultimately became the turning point of the moving. What did Brittney Murphy's Character say back at the antagonist who turned on her."
During this game we have to ring the tiny bell that he gave all of the player groups. Without hesitation or even a look from Ryan I rang our bell.
"Oh do we have answer from our lovely loyal patron?" James I'm never giving you a tip again...that's not true but seriously fuck you.
"'Omission is betrayal'"
"That Is CORRECT! You and Ryan are our 1st price winners! Free drinks and-"
"Wow $500 gift card to Nolan's Bookstore." My eyes shot up! I fucking love reading and that bookstore is the second most place I go to when I have my weekends."
Ryan looked over at me, as James was still announcing 2nd and 3rd place. Apparently his two friends beside him won 3rd place.
"You look like you just won a golden ticket to the chocolate factory." Ryan commented.
"Sorry, I just really love that bookstore, I go there every weekend too."
"Well now that I have a $500 gift card...I think I have more reason to stop by there now." He said with a sexy grin.
"Oh get a room you two." Gus laughed beside him.
"That might actually be good idea." Terry said as he looked on between me and Ryan.
It was at that very moment Alana popped into my head and her words in one of our sessions came to mind
Never fall for the foolishness of men and their charm. They will fuck you, then fuck you over so fast you hardly see it coming.
And here I was falling right for it. These three could easily come out of model catalog, someone's Instagram page, or on front pages of GQ. I had no business speaking with them. I should've just been in my little corner table minding my own business.
"Well it was nice to meet you gentlemen this evening, and James I'll take my check it's time for me to go."
"Aww come on you were having a good time, you haven't even had your last drink yet." Maybe I do do things way too much in the same way. A person can change things up once in a while right? I did tonight. I changed one thing...now I must leave. Gotta get the fuck out of here before anything bad happens.
"Come on stay a little while longer Ty. We get free drinks tonight remember."
No one has called me Ty since my childhood, but I do like the way he says it in his rich chocolate voice.
James sets my 3rd Amaretto sour down on the bar table as a plea. Without saying a word I took a sip as my answer.
"Aww she's staying, good, so why do you always have the same drinks?" Terry asked.
"Well do you guys always drink Coors?"
"No, sometimes I try their new drinks."
"But don't you have a favorite drink?"
"Sure, but it's always fun to try something...or someone new."
I hate these guys already. Ryan didn't miss a beat.
