Within An Impasse

Well...Now What?

By the morning he was gone with a note saying

"Had a really good first night with you, hope there will be more in the future. See you at  Charlie's- Ryan"

I didn't know what to think. I had a funny feeling in my stomach. I was kinda sad that he didn't stay to cuddle, but also happy he at least left a note. I took a few moments to think it over.

Fuck it! I finally had had sex in 6 fucking years!!  So what if he didn't want to stay. And I didn't just have sex I had mind blowing sex, mind blowing orgasms that I can never seem to get with masturbation or actual sex. 

I went back to the bar the next week, I decided that the edge of the bar wasn't that bad and no one was trying to steal my booth in the back corner anyway, so I know that I could always go back to it.  James came up to me.

"So she decided to sit up here today huh?"

"The edge of the bar isn't so bad I guess."

"Your  usual."

"Thanks...so I went on a date with Ryan last week."

"Oh you did say yes huh, what did you two crazy kids get up to?"

"We went to Nolan's, then a nice restaurant and then the park."

"Wow, that sounds nice. Did he give you a goodnight kiss?" He teased.

"Actually-"

As if on cue, Gus, Terrence, and Ryan all come bustling into the bar. Ryan comes straight up to me, and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"Good evening beautiful. This seat taken?"

"Well it is now, Hey guys."

"Wassup Ty" Gus nodded.

"Hey Ty." Terry waved.

"Hey James can you hold my second drink I'm gonna go to the ladies room."

"Sure thing, sweets."

I went off to the bathroom, but I feel my ear burning for some reason. 

Ryan POV:

"So how was it...you got up in that?" Gus nudged me.

"Do you really have to be like that? It's none of y'alls business what I get up in."

"You gonna see her again?" I appreciated Terry for being a little sensible.

"I'm seeing her now."

"You know what he means."

"I mean, I don't know if I want to get in a relationship, but the sex was amazing."

"So you did smash, I knew it! Pay up, Terry."

"Fuck you, Gus" as hands over a twenty.

"Wait a minute, you made a bet about this?"

"Yea, why not?"

"This is why you're still single Gus. For fuck sake man."

"What's going on fellas?"

"Nothing, I think we'll take our drinks now." Gus answered.

"What did I say about taking care of her?"

"I think he's talking to you Ry."

"I just heard there was a bet involved."

"What you heard was these two assholes-"

"Aye-"

"Making a bet on whether or not I slept with Tyler."

"I'll send one of the other servers over here, I'm not serving you guys. You're lucky this doesn't give reason to throw you out. And Ryan, I meant what I said. You might wanna start thinking about the company you keep." As he looks straight at Gus and Terry as he walks away.
