Draco stood looking at the vanishing cabinet. It was almost dne he could feel it. He didnt want it to be finished. He knew he couldnt do the next part of his task. Yes, Draco could be cold, but he was no murderer. He would never be able to murder his teacher, his headmaster. Dispite all of the dislike he had for the elderly man.

"Draco." Astoria whispered from his right where she had set up a place to do their homework while he worked on the cabinet. "Draco come on. You have to eat something." She urged.

She was fearful for him. He hadnt eaten properly in days. Honestly, Draco hadnt eaten properly since he was told by the Dark Lord what his task was. He hadnt been able to stomach food, and it showed. His once fitted clothes now hung loosely off of him. His face was thinner and much much paler than before, and that was saying something. His eyes were dull, but that wasnt just from the lack of food. It was from the lack of sleep he was getting. If he didnt spend all the time he had on the cabinet the Dark Lord had threatened to kill everyone that Draco cared for. And suprisingly, that list was extremely long, much to Dracos dismay. He had to protect far far too many people. And half of them were bloody Gryffindors.

"Dra-" Astoria called again but Draco cut her off holding up his hand. "Not now mon coeur." Draco huffed sitting down beside her and pulling her into his side. "Just something small. Please." She told him looking up at him with a smile that made his heart melt.

"Tori Im not hungry love." He said, already mentally cursing himself for the hundreth time in the last few months for allowing her to be any way involved with his task. She was too vulnurable. HE just had to ensure her safety right now. Thats all he really needed.

"Just one teeny tiny little thing. Ive brought you an apple." Astoria told him pulling the shiny green apple out of the small bag she had with her. "Last one and all." She said handing it to him with an anxious look on her face. If he took the apple off her and threw it halfway across the room, it wouldnt be the first time. Making Draco eat when he didnt want to, or sleep. Or even just take five minutes to himself was extremely difficult. But he needed it, and if Tori wasnt there to give him the push o do something, who was going to, Crabbe?

"One apple." He huffed taking the apple off her and taking a bit of it while she looked at him like a child. "Did you want some love?" He asked and she shook her head, nuzzling her head into his shoulder. She was afraid so afraid that he would end hurting someone. Or worse, he wouldnt be able to hurt someone and they would hurt him instead.

"Be careful wont you?" Astoria asked. She knew he couldnt exactly say that everything would be fine, they both knew it wouldnt. But they could at least. He could pretend. He could always pretend that everything was going to be alright, as long as that kept Astoria, his mother and Aaliyah and her family safe, thats what he would do.

"Of course Ill be careful mon coeur." Draco said pressing a kiss into her forhead as she nuzzled her head deeper into his shoulder, seeking comfort from his embrace and his scent. Draco however stared straight ahead. Looking at the cabinet and slowly eating that apple that Astoria had given him. When Astoria fell asleep he carefully removed himself from underneath her and laid her down on the couch, covering her in his robes that were so big they covered her entire body completely.

Draco headed for the great hall, he needed to talk to Blaise, he always knew what to do. Draco ran into Crabbe and Goyle standing outside the Room of Requirement still under the effects of the polyjuice potion. "Dont move. Tori is still in there. And shes asleep so dont be so incompetant as to wake her alright. I'm going to the Great Hall. Ill be back in a moment." Draco snapped looking at the pair who looked and him and nodded vigourosly.

With that Draco walked down the hallways and to the Great Hall, it was around dinner time so he knew Blaise was around. He was never one to pass up dinners at Hogwart, according to him they were a hundred times better than the ones he would get at home. While walking into the Great Hall Draco paused when he saw a familiar face sitting at the Gryffindor table. It was the girl that had been poisoned trying to carry the cursed necklace to Dumbledore. Draco panicked, running out of the room and towards the boys bathroom at the end of the hall. Praying to Merlin that the girl didnt remember anything.
