Tears had fallen from Atsumu's eyes. The male stared unbelievingly for a long time, the tears floating down his cheeks as he caressed her face in a manner that betrayed the thought maybe he would wake to find he was still dreaming. But Misaki continues to smile at him, a smile that was strained with both pain and relief. In her time out, she had dreamed the events over and over again. To wake up and see that she was safe had been a total relied. In that one last moment of consciousness, the last face that flashed before her eyes had been Atsumu's.

The beeping in the background alerted her that she was in a hospital bed, and slowly, her bandaged arms moved to cup her belly. "Are they alright?" She asks, her voice almost unrecognizable. Atsumu nods, coming closer, even though his body groaned in protest. "The doctor said that you kept them safe," he nods. Then his face falls. "Misa... I'm so sorry. This is all my fault," he bows his his head apologetically. Misaki's brows furrow slightly, not understanding for a second. "Sorry? Why would you be sorry?" She asks, hoping that he wasn't blaming himself.

But Atsumu's next words confirmed it. "I shoulda walked ya to yer door. I shoulda made sure you were safe. I never shoulda made us turn off our phones. It was my fault. My fault that this happened to ya. I should never have left ya Misa!" Tears flow down his face as he cries hysterically. The guilt was eating him alive. He had to let it out. But Misaki was aware, felt his inner pain. She put a hand on his shoulder, another on his head, stroking him until the tears lessened. "Atsumu... I don't blame you." He looks up.

"I could honestly never blame you. I'm so sorry that you've spent this whole time blaming yourself. It's not your fault this happened. Some people are sick. I knew when going into this field that there may be crazy fans. I'll be okay, so please stop taking it out on yourself," She breathes to him. Atsumu blinks, his tears slowly stopping. "I promise ya, Misa. I'll make this up to ya somehow. No matter how long it takes me. Misa... I love ya. I love ya so much, just waiting for ya to wake so I could tell ya was torture," he breathes.

Misaki blinks, tears welling as she tugs him closer. "I love you too, Tsumu. Thank you for being in my life," she smiles softly, embracing the man in a gentle hug, mindful of all the tubes attached to her. As she came more and more awake, she began to feel the pain and shivers lightly. At the moment that they begin to pull apart, the door clicks open and the nurse walks in. Seeing the two of them up and awake, she bows and give a polite but happy smile. "Good to see you awake, Ms. Sakusa. I'll go fetch the doctor," she smiles as she bows out.

Misaki blinks as she leaves and turns to Atsumu with a gentle look. "I'll be okay, Tsumu. I have you here," She tells him softly, brushing his hair out of his face. His chocolate colored eyes stared up into hers  for a minute before the door opens again. The doctor enters, followed by two nurses, smiling at them with a friendly manner. His board ruffles as he goes through her charts for a moment. "Ms. Sakusa? Let's get your vitals and a check up on your current condition. You've had quite the ordeal."

Misaki nods, letting them get her blood pressure and check her vitals for the time being. After the doctor finishes, he nods. "All is looking like it is healing well. You received some breaks and fractures to your ribs, cheekbone, skull and a broken femur. The swelling has gone down a bit, but you are to remain on bedrest. No lifting, pulling or carrying anything. We had to sow your cervix shut to prevent it from opening. You need to rest as much as you can. This should be obvious, but I'm gonna say it anyways. No sex, not until fully cleared by a doctor." he tells her.

A blush lights Misaki's face, hiding it behind her thin hospital blanket. "Right. No sex. We can live without it," Atsumu nods, doing a better job of his embarrassment than Misaki had. He still had a pink tinge to his cheeks, but agreed with the doctor. In the embarrassed silence, a knock sounds on the door before it slowly swings open, the faces of Misaki's parents appearing on the other end. The moment their eyes meet hers, relief and tears flood their thankful orbs.
