Light filtered into Misaki's room, the tired woman slowly lifting up her head. The slender, tall figure of her captor brought her discomfort, but she chose to hide it. Her arms were numb. The few moments of sleep that she managed to catch in the position they had her were restless. She had heard a baby cry earlier and could at least rest assured that they were in the same building as her, her heart aching to go to them. But Misaki was smart. If they had not hurt either baby yet, there was a chance they wouldn't.
But she didn't want to push them. Biding her time was best, even if the situation wasn't exactly ideal. She was fairly certain the woman standing in front of her was planning to kill her. Azami had the broken, manic smile of a woman with nothing to lose. Treading carefully was the only option here. Playing her cards right might just save her life. So instead of glaring, Misaki just stared at her captor tiredly. She hated playing games. But it seemed to be the only thing Azami wanted was to toy with her like a cat and mouse.
"I want you to do something for me. You need to write a letter to Miya Atsumu. Tell him you don't love him anymore and you're leaving him with the kids. Your children depend on this. If you do as I say, you might get to see the little vermin." Her voice held a tinge of insanity. Misaki let it slide, knowing that instigating the issue would only solve to make things even more difficult, even if she was outraged at the name she had called her kids. Something was off with Azami, the woman looking slightly disheveled, her eyes glazed with darkness inside.
Taking in a deep breath, she sighs and gestures with her hands, making the heavy chains rattle. "It'll be really hard to write like this," Misaki points out. "Obviously when it's time to write the letter, I'll have you out of the chains... But then you go right back in them when you're done." Azami looks her over with annoyance. It wasn't like this would drag on long anyway. She just needed to be sure that that fool Atsumu wouldn't go looking for her right away. Otherwise, her plan would abruptly go wrong, and she didn't want to plan for a contingency.
Azami was not lazy per se as much as she was just tired of always planning. Planning how to get to the top and stay there in a densely competitive field was exhausting. There was always steps you had to take in case certain plans didn't work. At this point, the last thing Azami wanted was to make plans B, C, D, and E. Besides, If plan A didn't work, she would be ousted.
That would be the end for her. What she didn't know, was Misaki didn't earn her fame solely on her looks. Her EQ and IQ were high, and she would use the secret to her advantage. The first thing she needed was to play her cards right, downplay her intelligence as she studied their behaviors while searching for a way out.
Obviously this wasn't ideal.
Atsumu had to be freaking out, her mother as well. But she had an advantage. Even if she signed a letter, she knew they would immediately consider it a lie as she had been on the phone at the time Misaki was taken. That meant that the letter would be traced. She had to make sure something was left behind.
But how would she do it? An Idea suddenly struck. "If you want me to write that letter, just bring me the paper and pen. I'm feeling tired and I would like to just get it over with," Misaki speaks.
Azami gives a triumphant grin and calls out into the hallway for someone to fetch her the materials required. Looming over, Azami gives a chuckle. "Smart choice," she breathes, the overwhelming smell of her Chanel perfume wafting around Misaki like a cloud. Misaki hums, seemingly agreeable. "Yeah, I can't fight you, so might as well just do what you ask. But I have a request. After, I'd like to use the bathroom," Misaki replies softly.
Looking her over, Azami decides she isn't much of a threat. "Fine. But you don't go alone," she decides, receiving the paper, pen and envelope from Kame. Crossing the room back to Misaki's side, she sets it on the table, pulling the chair out as Kame steps fully into the room, unchaining her and walking Misaki to the table.
