POSSESSION 22

Possession 22 - His Fiancé

I was still in shock when I saw Gio slowly approaching me. He was smiling while looking at my face, but his expression change when he looked at me from head to toe. Mabilis siyang tumingin sa paligid at mas lalong sumama ang timpla ng mukha niya nang mapansing maraming nakatingin sa akin.

But instead of greeting him, I gave him dagger stares bago siya nilagpasan at hinanap si dad. Some guest that I passed by were greeting me, while some are just smiling. Nang makita ko dad, he was about to approach Gio's parents when I held his arm.

"Dad, what's the meaning of this?"

"Sorry for not telling you sweetie." He smiled at me then kissed me on my forehead. "I knew you and Style were in a relationship. So we made this engagement party as a surprise."

He smiled like he knew it was successful, because Im really in shock right now! Is this what he was doing all along? Kaya hindi niya ako ginulo ng two weeks dahil dito?

"You look so surprised, baby."

Nakaramdam ako ng coat na ipinatong sa balikat ko. He was holding me across my shoulder pulling me closer towards him.

"Gio."

Is this his way of saying sorry? I really wanted to punch him right now but dad is in front of us plus the guests.

"See you later sweetie. Take care of her."

Paalam sa amin ni dad bago umalis at pumunta sa table nila tita Maggie. Ngumiti lang pabalik sa kaniya si Gio bago ako muling hinarap.

"I don't like what you're wearing Lisana." He commented after looking at my body once more.

I smirked at him. "Then take if off, if you want."

Sadya kong inilaglag ang coat na ipinatong niya sa balikat ko saka kumuha ng champaign sa waiter na dumaan. Gio chuckled. Naiinis ako sa kaniya pero bakit ang gwapo niya pa rin sa paningin ko? I drunk all the champaign that I was holding before passing through Gio but he held my hand and pulled me up to the mini stage.

He clapped twice then a mannequin wearing a fancy milky white cape was being delivered to the stage.

"I knew you'd do this." Sabi niya at tinanggal ang cape sa mannequin at isinuot iyon sa akin.

Nakarinig ako ng nakakabinging palakpakan at bulungan na sinasabing napaka sweet niya daw. I tried to stop myself from rolling my eyes but I just couldn't. He slid his hand inside the cape holding me to my bare waist. Then there, naramdaman ko na naman ang nakakapaso niyang hawak.

May waiter na parehas kaming inabutan ng wine. Wala akong nagawa kundi tanggapin ito at ngumiti sa lahat ng tao dahil lahat sila nakatingin sa amin.

"This night. Will be a memorable night for us." He started. "This night doesn't just symbolizes the engagement of our love, but also the start, of merging the two biggest company in the whole Asia. Eros Group and Rossa Group of Company!"

Everybody was applauding with Gio's short speech. I looked at everyone. I bet most of them wants to kill us both right now. Halatang peke ang mga ngiting binibigay nila dahil alam nilang mahihirapan silang talunin ang kumpanya namin, lalo na't ngayong nagsama na ang Eros at Rossa.

"Cheers for the success of everyone!" Pahabol ni Gio at itinaas ang wine glass na hawak.

"CHEERS!"

And with that everybody drank their wines and champagnes. Gio looked at me with sincere and care. Nanlambot ako. Because this was the guy I fell hard with.
