Chapter 13

Eliza POV
“I left a note.” I shrugged. Walking up the stairs, I may look cool and collected however my heart was hammering against my rib cage; I really didn’t want them to take any of my freedom away from me.
“That’s not what we want to talk about Eliza.” Jed announced. But instead of the beating of my heart decreasing it went even faster. What had they found out? I walked downstairs.
“What?” I grunted. Jed seemed pleased to have got my attention.
“Mark informed me that you paid him to go and get your motorbike from that home, is that correct?” He stated, I heard the recognisable sound of Noah growling, I looked at him through my eyelashes, I could tell it was taking a lot of will power for him not to rip Mark’s head of at this moment.
“Yes.” I informed, I silently glared at Mark he looked back at me guilty. Of course I couldn’t trust anyone to go and do something that is private.
“And then you told him that you would be leaving him, to go somewhere else?” Jed asked.
“Yes.” I repeated, I was not saying anything.
“Are you going to tell us where you went?” Jed suggested.
“No.” I chuckled. My dark humour didn’t seem to amuse them though, they looked at me blankly. “Am I free to go?” I grinned.
“Yes.” Jed scolded at me. “You will be joining us for dinner?”
“Yes.” I murmured, smiling to myself and walked upstairs to my room. I know I shouldn’t find it funny that I could make them so cross, but I loved to break the rules. I hummed in my room, liking my new freedom of not needing help to walk around. However I would probably have to speak to Penelope and have a lecture of walking around when my legs are weak like they were. I decided I should probably have a shower and get rid of the smell of Tigga before the Pack worked out where I had been.
But too soon I was called to dinner. Reluctantly I went downstairs; I had to keep to my promise if I wanted to have my motorbike. I was placed between the girl Gabby and Cathy, I enjoyed Cathy’s company it was easy and she was a very sweet girl and I think Gabby was a bit like me however less extreme. Throughout the dinner I quietly talked Cathy answering her when needed. I made a few remarks to Gabby, however she didn’t see the need to make small talk, which I liked.
“Now, the younger wolves have school tomorrow.” Jed addressed the whole table. “Because Eliza has joined the pack she will be needing a lift so she will be driving with Mark, Gabby, Noah and Greg.” He beamed at the table.
I felt my heart drop. Great, awkward car journey with people older than me.
“That won’t be necessary.” I interrupted. Everyone looked at my stunned, I could tell that not many people went against their Alpha.
“Excuse me?” Jed asked.
“I will be taking my motorbike to school.” I declared. “Then Cathy can join everyone in the car.”
“That really doesn’t have to happen.” Cathy assured me.
“I insist.” I demanded. I could hear Jed and Noah breath out in annoyance.
“Excuse me.” I said, politely. Getting from the table and placing the leftovers on my plate on the counter. “I am waking up early in morning as I have somewhere to go, do not be alarmed if you do not see me.” I explained, I turned on my heel and walked back to my room. I could feel everyone’s stunned faces on me.
