and in the dim morning light
that slowly creeps into the tiny cove
that we call ours
i watch your face slowly drift into view
and i am left in awe
it is like seeing you for the first time
with your sunkissed freckles
that Dawn your face in the hundreds
and the arches of your brow that would always question me
the curve of your lips
that have left me breathless and hopefully for more
wanting for more
which is the most terrifying thoughtbut when your eyes
the wooded eyes that are sprinkled with purest of sage
i realize i am home
that every wrong
every hurt
every bad and good thing
has lead me right you
and god i have loved every second of it
and i want ever second after
for as long as you will have me
