Takashi
"You're dazing away again." I nudged her softly so that she wouldn't loose her concentration. I gasped lightly and the realization and quickly adjusted the fabric under the sewing machine. "Thanks, that was close." She grinned. "No problem." I responded calmly.
The light of the dawning sun fell through the windows, illuminating the dark room. It made her hairstrands glow in golden hues. I leaned my head on my hand, watching her carefully sew a jacket from lavender cloth. She had been sitting in the school for hours, doing nothing but that.
"You still havent told me who the jacket is for." I mentioned. She had said earlier that it was a present, but not for whom. "Guess." She simply said. I smiled. "Fine. Is it for me? It matches my haircolor." She laughed. "I would hardly make your present so openly in front of you." I leaned back on the table behind me. "Hmm... then maybe it's for a girl?" I asked but she didn't answer, which was in itself already a clear answer.
I grinned, knowing the answer. Still I decided to beat around the bush for funs sake. "Ahh is it Hinata?" I asked. She shook her head. "Hmm, it must be Yuzuha then am I right?" I played down a smile. Again she shook her head. "Ohh now I think I have it, It's Emma." I guessed. "You think?" She smiled lightly. I nodded. "I know." She giggled. "How would you? I didn't confirm whether your guess was right yet." I smiled back. "You don't have to tell me. I can read your mind after all." She rolled her eyes at me. "Don't tell anyone alright?" She requested. I nodded. "I wont."
I looked up at the clockface on the wall. It was already way too late. "Hey, start finishing up, I wanna go home. Luna and Mana need to eat now." I said, sitting up properly. "Sure, just a bit." she muttered, eyes fixed on the needle of the machine, digging into the fabric. I chuckled and started packing. She wasn't hurrying up one bit. Just how I know her. I nodded. "I'll call your Mom and tell her you'll be sleeping over, yeah?" before she could approve, I had already grabbed her phone, unlocked it and pressed on the contact 'Mom'."Hi, what's going on?" a friendly voice on the other side of the line asked. "Hello Miss. This is Takashi." I answered. "Oh Takashi, of course, what's the concern?" she asked kindly. "We still have a project to finish, so I meant to ask if she could stay over at my house tonight." I explained. "Of course that is alright." She said. I nodded even though she couldn't see it on the other end of the line and thanked her. "No problem. Have fun you two." we said goodbye and I waited for her to hang up first before giving the phone back.
By the time I had finished the call, she was already done and carefully putting the singular pieces of a whole into a shopping bag. "Finished packing?" She asked, looking up at me. "Yeah." I put on my jacket and slung my bag around my shoulder. We walked down the first floor in a comfortable silence. Since the school had already been locked up, I pulled open a classroom door and opened the window. A warm summer breeze gushed in my face. "I'll go first, just hold on." I climbed out of the window. "Give me the bags." I requested as soon as I was on the other side.
She handed me the two schoolbags and then the shopping bag, before she started to climb out herself.
The wind softly played with her hair as she stood hesitant on the windowsill. I put the bags down and stretched my arms out to her. "I'll catch you. Come on down." the distance to the ground wasn't far but she could still sprain her ankle if she jumped. She carefully sat down on the windowsill and started slipping off, falling right into my arms
She laughed as I let her down on the ground "That was fun" she said and I chuckled "Breaking out of the school at night" I shook my head "I fight in brawls with my friends but something like this can only happen with you" I patted her hair. She grinned.
